Old Escapement Radio System07 Apr 2006 13:34 GMT66
I still have an old CG 'Venus' Tone transmitter and receiver, by F & M
Electronics.
This is the one with the push button, 'click' once for full left,
'double-click' for full
Electric Prop Question07 Apr 2006 06:49 GMT9
I'm in the process of finishing up my first venture into the electric
world, a Great Planes Fun Force EP P-51.
I notice that the prop that came with the kit, a 10 x 4.5 S has the
end tips bent at a 90 degree angle rear wards. Here is a pic:
Building a plane from scratch07 Apr 2006 06:45 GMT25
How difficult is it to build a P-51D from scratch?? I have the plans
but don't know if it is just easier to buy one with all of the wood
already cut?
engine problem07 Apr 2006 03:25 GMT1
I have recently bought a KTM 125 motocross bike.  I got this bike cheap
as it starts and runs but will not rev to its full potential.  I have
fitted a new plug, stripped and cleaned the carb, decoked the exhaust
but to no avail.  The bike starts first time without any trouble and
Koverall question06 Apr 2006 23:52 GMT5
When applying the color coat with a detail gun, in a place or two I have got
a little sag in the covering like its needing shrunk again.  I took the heat
gun and carefully shrank it back without any harm to my finish.
Why is this happening?   too much thinner ?  too heavy a coat ?

If there's anyone interested at all I have added a sequence of images of the
H9 PTS Mustang to my galleries.
There's also a sequence of stills from a ARTF Zero that took off and
crashed. It's actually a pretty good sequence.
Balancing staggered wings06 Apr 2006 12:59 GMT16
My friend needs to balance his Ultimate biplane. As you may know, the
Ultimate has swept back staggered wings.
The problem is, the indicated CG on the plan has it just about 1/3
(33%) from the LE under the top wing.
first plane suggestions, gas, no RTF or ARF06 Apr 2006 00:33 GMT34
I am sure the 'first plane' questions gets asked a lot here.  I see one
other post currently asking this, but looking for something different
than I am.
I am looking to buy a beginners plane.  I want a balsa kit, as to me,
OS FS-61 4 Stroke Engine05 Apr 2006 20:46 GMT3
A friend of mine gave me this engine and I am not sure how to hook up
the fuel tank.  The engine has 3 hose bibs for hook up to the fuel
tank.  One is on the muffler, One is on the Carboerator, and the other
is going to the crank shaft area.  Could you please give me some idea
Sanding blocks- 05 Apr 2006 15:26 GMT4
I need to get a couple of sanding blocks that permit relatively  quick
changing of the paper.  Years ago I bought a couple of the Standard
Brands sheet metal ones, but haven't seen them or any good ones for sale
in years.  Anybody know anywhere I can get some that will:
Servo chatter in the radio box - Is this normal?05 Apr 2006 11:50 GMT5
Good Evening.  After using conventional radios for most of my time in
the hobby, I thought I'd give a computer radio a try.  I purchased a
Futaba 7CAF FM radio, with a T7CAF transmitter, an R127DF receiver, and
4 S3004 servos.  I charged up the transmitter and receiver batteries ...
Balancing a GP Mini Slinger flying wing05 Apr 2006 02:42 GMT4
This is the my first time building/flying a wing. Is it normal for
flying wings to be touchy while balancing them?? I set my GP Mini
Slinger on my CG balancer at the proper location for CG in acord to
manual, shifted the gear around until it was level and stayed level,
Ed Henry's Original Fly Seat04 Apr 2006 23:09 GMT4
Does anyone out there have a set of plans for Ed Henry's Original Fly
Seat???
I have an advertising sheet with a few pictures of it, but cannot
locate a set of the plans.  Back in '68, Ed Henry sold the plans
Sim for dual-analog Gamepad04 Apr 2006 22:31 GMT2
What is the best sim which works with a normal gamepad.  I have a couple
gamepads with dual analog sticks.  I realize they won't do justice to
the realflight g3 box set, but probably the a lot better than the keyboard!
Thanks,
