GWS Geardrive shaft not true. Common?08 May 2006 17:59 GMT13
I have a new GWS geardrive and the prop shaft has considerable runout,
enough to cause a vibration worthy of concern. Are these drives noted for
poor workmanship or am I just unfortunate to have purchased an anomaly?

Slow Stick material, Depron?08 May 2006 11:06 GMT7
Can anyone tell me what exactly the material is that Slow Stick wings are
made of? I thought it was Depron but am no longer sure.
My father and I combat with our Slow Sticks and there is only so many times
you can repair em even though that is a remarkable number.
Clancy Lazy Bee plans needed08 May 2006 03:09 GMT6
I've had an original Clancy Lazy Bee kit sitting in my basement shop for
several years.  As (bad) luck would have it, during a heavy rainstorm
water got into the kit and ruined the plans booklet.  If anyone has the
plans booklet left over from a Bee they've completed I'd love to ...

OS .40 FX - A Tale of Woe05 May 2006 15:10 GMT14
Good Evening.  A couple months ago I bought a used OS .40 FX I found on
the Net, and installed it in my Tower Kaos.  It ran fine the first month
or so I have been flying the plane...until this afternoon!  I couldn't
even get the engine started for my first flight.  When I cranked ...

Aerobatics04 May 2006 01:21 GMT1
Does anyone have any simple aerobatic manouvers I could try out. I fly
a V tail AB Extreme, but I've just glued two credit cards on to the
flaps to increase the throw. Wind permitting I'll give it is maiden
flight tonight with the new set up, and I'm hoping the extra elevator
Solo!!03 May 2006 04:43 GMT6
I did it, after 4 long months of winter flying with the sim, I flew my
Hobbico Superstar trainer last weekend in gusty winds, but the instructor
would let me take off or land by myself. I think I could have handled it,
but he's the instructor so I followed his advice.
Cracking Control Rods03 May 2006 02:55 GMT12
I'm building a Phoenix Models Seabee pattern ARF, and I'm having problems
with the aileron control rods (push rods).  My Hangar 9 z-bend pliers are
cracking the control rods when I try to bend them.
Do I need to heat the control rods before bending them?  Do I simply need to
