David Andersen La-725 Aug 2006 11:04 GMT2
I wonder if anyone on this group has built or is in the process of building
(or knows of someone who has any experience of that kind) David Andersen's
La-7 (http://www.mnbigbirds.com/Lavochkin%20La-7.htm)?
I've got set of plans from RCM plan service and I'm delighted with the
Flair Pup Covering24 Aug 2006 22:27 GMT3
Now the engine is on its way, the next choice I have in the construction of
my pup is the covering. I have searched the internet to find a likely colour
scheme other than the usual green and cream, and found a nice replica which
is in Melbourne Australia. (pics available at

OS LA Engines..opinions?23 Aug 2006 17:54 GMT34
I know this has probably been drug through the mud a few times here
before over the years, but since I'm returning from a 10 year absence in
the hobby I'm somewhat out of the loop on some of the engine tech.
I'm looking at engines right now, and am scoping out an OS LA .61 for a

Recovering a wing22 Aug 2006 01:19 GMT8
I'm getting ready to recover a wing that's gotten a bit torn up.  No
structural damage, but several patches in the covering.  What is the
best way to get the old covering off?  I was planning on cutting off as

Radio gear21 Aug 2006 14:41 GMT16
Just spent a few months making  my own 6/8 channel proportional gear, after
many years of inactivity. When I last flew I flew gliders off the South
Riyadh escarpment. Since I was the only one there I was able to use my own
3-CH 27MHz channels.

Great Planes Super Sportster EP21 Aug 2006 03:19 GMT10
Has anyone else flown the Super Sportster EP. I flew mine for the first
time last weekend and let me say, WOW! This is one great flying bird. I
