Cessna anyone?14 Aug 2006 09:40 GMT6
My clever clogs son who now flies so well it's enbarrassing (except for him,
coz he's ten) wants a scale cessna for his imminent birthday.
He has said he wants the Hangar  9 cessna 182.  Well, he's not getting THAT.
His second choice is the Top Flight Gold Kit. Well, he's not ...
Tower Hobbies service slipping?13 Aug 2006 00:35 GMT20
I've been ordering from Tower for many years and as far as ANY mail/web
order business goes, I always thought they were on top of the heap, from the
user-friendly design and completeness of their web catalog and shopping cart
system to the quick shipping and great customer ...
Great Service from Local Hobby Shop12 Aug 2006 21:20 GMT2
Every once in awhile excellent service is experienced from a business, I
thought I would share this one.
About a month ago I crashed my Midwest Stearman. The motor (Saito-91)
experienced some bad crash damage, needle valve destroyed, spray bar
Question for the leccy gurus - length of wires for brushless12 Aug 2006 21:12 GMT4
Finally putting together a Scorpio Mossie that I was given. I intend to use
a single 3s2p pack,  with two Axi 2212/26 motors and Jeti Advance 18 Plus
controllers in parallel.
My question concerns the wiring lengths. There isn't any way to fit packs in
Bouncing Slowpoke12 Aug 2006 19:09 GMT22
I have bought myself a Slowpoke, but haven't flown it yet.  But I have
been practising with the Realflight G2 Slowpoke, and much to my
displeasure I find I can't land the damn thing without Bounce Bounce
Bounce - and then (sometimes) crash!
A good blow?11 Aug 2006 17:22 GMT2
Went up to the local slope yesterday as it was blowing a gale;
Flight 1 - after about 5 minutes got company of a buzzard, didn't help
concentration so I landed.
Flight 2 - no flight :^( went to hand launch and the wing left the fuselage
Video taping R/C flights11 Aug 2006 17:14 GMT5
I'm interested in shooting video footage of R/C flights, and I'm hoping that
some of you out there will offer some basic introductory advice.  I would
like to shoot digital video that can easily be transferred for Internet
hosting and sharing with friends.
YS 110FZ Fuel System Plumbing11 Aug 2006 04:33 GMT4
A while back, I asked for recommendations on what engine I should put in my
Showtime.  While I was leaning towards the Saito 125 (just because I have a
lot of experience with Saitos), I opted for a YS 110FZ.  This was primarily
due to the fact that I got a great deal with lots of ...
Hangar 9 PTS ARF - Engine Choice10 Aug 2006 14:09 GMT7
I bought the Hangar 9 P-51 PTS ARF version for my 2nd plane and I'm
thinking about putting in a 4 stroke.
Does anyone have an idea which engine would work best?
I'm looking at a Saito 56 or 72, or an O.S. 52 or 70 II.

I'm looking for a shop in Boston (or vicinity) where I could buy an OS MAX
40 LA engine.

Hangar-9 P-51 PTS10 Aug 2006 02:55 GMT9
I am an R/C newbie, looking into getting into the hobby.  I've got
plenty of land where I can fly.  Several years ago, I had an
opportunity to do a little bit of flying on some gas powered trainers,
mostly on a buddy box.  I accomplished a couple of landings, did a few
Getting back to flying09 Aug 2006 22:51 GMT5
3 years ago I put away my gas planes because of a long distance move and the
job. But I've been thinking about getting back into it with electrics. What
are the best value ARF electric planes (package deals with plane, batts,
chargers, servos, receiver) out on the market now? I ...
original Bridi Kaos wing rib outlines wanted09 Aug 2006 17:46 GMT12
I ran a across a set of kit plans from my old deceased Bridi Kaos - the
original 59" version. They have everything on them to build one except the
wing rib outlines. If anyone has a set of drawings, tracings, outlines for
the wing ribs I would be most appreciative. Visions of ...
Prop Question09 Aug 2006 16:09 GMT15
I just bought a prop for my Thunder Tiger .46, and the hole in the prop
is a little too big for the shaft. It also balanced almost perfectly
with no modification. Did I buy a used prop??
