| Flying Lawnmower | 18 Sep 2006 12:19 GMT | 6 |
My son bought me a Flying Lawnmower kit from Flying Thingz for Father's day and it's about 80% finished. I have been out of flying r.c planes for about 25 years and even then I never did learn to fly very well. I know this is not a very good plane to learn on but it's what I

So did anyone go to the show this year? I went yesterday (Saturday). The weather was sunny for most of the day, although it did cloud over a bit in the afternoon. The trade stands looked like they were doing a great trade, with lots of people swarming over the stuff looking for ...

| Prop Drive Washer for an Old K&B .61? | 15 Sep 2006 12:55 GMT | 2 |
Good Evening. I have a 1979-vintage K&B .61 (Ringed) engine that I inherited from my late father. I decided to use it in a Bridi Krafty I purchased several months ago. Last week, the engine had a malfunction during a flight, and dead-sticked. I landed the plane safely, only ...

| Torque on twin engine planes? | 15 Sep 2006 09:17 GMT | 16 |
This weekend I overheard a rather interesting conversation at an airfield here, but did not participate myself. Two guys with a large silver oldtimer that looked like a "Tante JU" (JU 52, had to look it up) with three props were discussing torque issues.

| fabric covering results | 15 Sep 2006 06:10 GMT | 15 |
I covered the amplifier cabinet with cotton, using Sig StixIt to attach it around the edges, and then I painted on two coats of Minwax Polycrylic. The result is excellent. The Polycrylic dries very quickly, although the first coat stayed wet for quite a while longer

| Extreme Air Bleed Adjustment | 14 Sep 2006 17:18 GMT | 8 |
A couple of months ago there was a thread on this group about adjusting carbs with air bleed. Someone mentioned that their adjustments were all over the map, and suggested drilling out the hole in extreme cases. Well, I drilled out the hole on my OS MAX 25 a couple of weeks ago, ...

| My RMX 40 | 14 Sep 2006 10:00 GMT | 1 |
This is by way of an apology to those nice guys at Ripmax. My RMX 40 now sings a sweet song and seems happy with an 11x6 prop. As I am from the generation who carefully ran in a new Mk II Cortina progressively at 40/50 then 60 MPH maximum for the first 500 miles, I cringe
