Dick Sarpolus Prime Stick18 Sep 2006 13:16 GMT1
Does anyone know  how to find the company that make this Sarpolus
design, the Prime Stick.  I was told it was R/C Sports in Carmel, IN,
but I can't seem to be able to find it on the internet.
Thanks,
Flying Lawnmower18 Sep 2006 12:19 GMT6
My son bought me a Flying Lawnmower kit from Flying Thingz for
Father's day and it's about 80% finished. I have been out of flying r.c
planes for about 25 years and even then I never did learn to fly very
well. I know this is not a very good plane to learn on but it's what I
Southern Model Show18 Sep 2006 09:30 GMT1
So did anyone go to the show this year?  I went yesterday (Saturday).  The
weather was sunny for most of the day, although it did cloud over a bit in
the afternoon.  The trade stands looked like they were doing a great trade,
with lots of people swarming over the stuff looking for ...

BP 3D Cap 232 .46 ARF ?17 Sep 2006 06:08 GMT5
Is the BP 3D Cap 232 .46 a sutable3 plane for a beginner to start with?
 http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=A1400126&pid=W059265 I know its not
ideal but how much harder would it be to learn with than a plane intended to
be a trainer?

Prop Drive Washer for an Old K&B .61?15 Sep 2006 12:55 GMT2
Good Evening.  I have a 1979-vintage K&B .61 (Ringed) engine that I
inherited from my late father.  I decided to use it in a Bridi Krafty I
purchased several months ago.  Last week, the engine had a malfunction
during a flight, and dead-sticked.  I landed the plane safely, only ...
Torque on twin engine planes?15 Sep 2006 09:17 GMT16
This weekend I overheard a rather interesting conversation at an
airfield here, but did not participate myself.
Two guys with a large silver oldtimer that looked like a "Tante JU" (JU
52, had to look it up) with three props were discussing torque issues.
My First Design...15 Sep 2006 08:58 GMT17
Howdy Folks,
I've been building and flying for a few years, and have a few ideas for a
scratch design and build project.  I'm looking for some help for the
process though.
fabric covering results15 Sep 2006 06:10 GMT15
I covered the amplifier cabinet with cotton, using Sig StixIt to attach
it around the edges, and then I painted on two coats of Minwax
Polycrylic.  The result is excellent.  The Polycrylic dries very
quickly, although the first coat stayed wet for quite a while longer
Filler for dinged foamy14 Sep 2006 19:29 GMT11
Crashed my Ultrafly SU27 into a bush and knocked a few chunks out of the
wing LE. Any ideas what the best filler would be (if any) for this
polystyrene foam wing?
Extreme Air Bleed Adjustment14 Sep 2006 17:18 GMT8
A couple of months ago there was a thread on this group about adjusting
carbs with air bleed.  Someone mentioned that their adjustments were all
over the map, and suggested drilling out the hole in extreme cases.
Well, I drilled out the hole on my OS MAX 25 a couple of weeks ago, ...
My RMX 4014 Sep 2006 10:00 GMT1
This is by way of an apology to those nice guys at Ripmax.
My RMX 40 now sings a sweet song and seems happy with an 11x6 prop.
As I am from the generation who carefully ran in a new Mk II Cortina
progressively at 40/50 then 60 MPH maximum for the first 500 miles, I cringe
