Bird of Time31 Dec 2006 20:12 GMT6
My son got me a Bird of Time ARF for Christmas and I must say I'm
impressed with the quality of the packaging and the overall quality of
the kit. The covering had only some minor wrinkles but it was still
better than I could have done it.
10mm basswood or hard balsa31 Dec 2006 04:18 GMT40
Who sells 10mm basswood or hard balsa sticks for use as GWS electric
motor mounts?  Sure, one can use 3/8" square sticks and shims, but I'd
rather have the right size.  I've looked at Balsa USA and Lone Star, but
no luck.  Are there any sources here in the USA?
Beginner - please help30 Dec 2006 18:15 GMT5
Hi everyone. I have been bought a nice new ARTF plane for Christmas (Seagull
Cessna) and a Futaba 6expa radio. I therefore have to buy a number of
extras. I would appreciate any recommendations as I could easily be
persuaded to buy a load of stuff I don't need. Would anyone ...

Capacitors on a motor27 Dec 2006 04:52 GMT16
I am a true dunce when it comes to electronics!  Getting
back into modeling, I can't avoid learning any longer, so
please bear with me!  I've noticed that some brushed type
electric motors (like that on a Slo-V) have capacitors on
Foam cutting hot wire26 Dec 2006 20:08 GMT22
I want to make a hot wire for cutting polystyrene foams.
I've built one from plans I found on the web, but it would
not heat the wire quite hot enough.  It used a doorbell
transformer and a home lighting dimmer switch.  A local
Sanwa Transmitters26 Dec 2006 01:48 GMT1
I am a lapsed flyer, I havent flown for about 3 years and plan to get back
into it. I have got a new model and am beginning work on it now. My problem
is this, before I stopped flying, I bought myself a Sanwa RD 6000. My
daughter heard I was getting back into models, and for ...

I did a search for sailplanes on E-Bay and I found a sailplane with a
157 inch wingspan. It is an ARF and a 5 channel. The seller is from Hong
Kong but has a warehouse in the states.  They sell a lot of sailplanes
and other rc planes on E-Bay.

NEED to start a glow engine? The manual says I need a glow starter and
a propeller spinner, but I've had people tell me that I don't really
