How to clean siezed engine21 Jan 2007 19:35 GMT7
I just realized that my teedee 051 was ran about 10 years ago and put away,
uncleaned. Today it's seized. There is no sign of rust or damage. I'm
guessing some carb cleaner to start with, maybe some penetrating oil, and
see if it frees up? Any practical advice before I tear into ...
Charge time21 Jan 2007 12:10 GMT4
My friend recently bought a mechanical on off timer for the purpose of
keeping his transmitter, receiver and ignition batteries, all NimH,
charged and ready during the cold season when he doesn't plan any
flying.
Electric Ducted Fan problem/question(s)21 Jan 2007 07:04 GMT14
Me again. Sorry for being so dense... I've got a tiny problem. Friend
wants a nice big foamie jet, but she prefers EDF instead of my usual
pusher prop setup.
Now, the default layout has air ducts in there anyway, but they're only
Engine recommendation continued21 Jan 2007 00:34 GMT13
A slightly different question today. Who makes engines today, who sells
engines *today*? 1/2a, bigger? Who are the manufacturers still in this
business?
Deans connectors positive + negative20 Jan 2007 23:05 GMT3
I'm going to fit Deans connectors to some LIPO batteries.
Obviously the female Deans socket goes on the battery but which way on
the two bars of the "T" do the + and - usually go?
I need building advice!20 Jan 2007 17:17 GMT8
Can someone tell me how to figure where the wing should be mounted in
relation to the length of the fuselage on a model airplane. I recently
purchased a duraplane on e-bay. When I received it looked as though the
wing was set back too far toward the tale. However, it did appear to ...

Ordering from sigmfg.com19 Jan 2007 23:58 GMT4
I was wondering if anybody has ordered recently from sigmfg.com, and if
so, what were your experiences like?  I haven't ordered from them yet, but
I have a fairly large order and have never ordered directly from Sig.  And
with Glen and Hazel being dead and all and no longer running ...

What's a doubler?17 Jan 2007 04:54 GMT17
Ok, I've been reading up on building in preparation for building my first
kit after 47 years. I don't believe I know exactly what a doubler is
although from long-ago experience I seem to remember that it is two pieces
of two pieces of timber, spar, 2x4, etc. glued together to ...

I need help, I'm looking to buy a new engine for a Pt-60 trainer by
great planes (requires a 60 engine). My options are a O.S. for about
CDN$190.00 (http://www.gpmd.com/cgi-bin/wgpinf100p?&I=OSMG0561) or a
super tiger for about CDN$100.00
What size engine for this wing?17 Jan 2007 03:14 GMT5
I have a wing that was built in 1995, and I want to finish it into a flying
c/l plane. It was never finished, but is complete and ready for fuselage and
silkspan. It is for c/l, has belcrank with leadouts in place. It is 26"
long, 5 3/8" deep and 3/4" high at the peak. Long and ...
