Battery Pack Choices?23 Mar 2007 23:08 GMT4
I tracked down a couple of links from Red's site ( Radical RC and No BS
Batteries) and I'm having trouble deciding which to use as my batteries
source.  The No BS Batteries assembly description is impressive but the
Radical RC prices are 50% less ( for the packs I'm interested ...
2.4 GHz23 Mar 2007 09:43 GMT10
I see that the pegboard-free revolution of the Spektrum DX7 is about to be
carried further forward by the Futaba 6EXA 2.4 GHz radio.
It is advertised with the statement "Convenient, worry-free operation
Thanks to Futaba quality and reliability, you can fly.. without concern for
Local Oscillator Convention for Single Conversion?22 Mar 2007 18:47 GMT9
I have advised some friends to avoid Chs 11-14 when using SC recievers
to prevent possible image frequency interference from Chs 57-60.
Question came back to me, 'can the channels at the upper end of the
band be interfered with by the low end channels.'  That would happen
Aerostand20 Mar 2007 07:27 GMT3
Thanks to all those who responded to my 'Aerostand' question.
I found the ideal stand made of PVC pipe, right here in our RC club.
When I'm finished making one, I'll post it on my personal website.
Warbirds and Tip Stalls19 Mar 2007 16:53 GMT44
I have a World Models P-51 and on its second flight I experienced tip
stall and came down hard collapsing the retracts. I have since
repaired the gear but am now a little gun shy about flying it again.
Can anyone out there offer some suggestions on how to combat tip

Does anyone know where I can find a drawing or diagram for a RC plane
service stand, made from PVC pipe/fittings, to be used at the flying field?

Ambroid shelf life?18 Mar 2007 18:24 GMT6
I have an unused tube of Ambroid cement with a date on the price tag of
1-26-06.  Should it still be okay a year later?  I've never used Ambroid
before, but it smells like hobby shops used to.
Thanks,
Launching trollies.18 Mar 2007 18:24 GMT7
What kind of speed does a model aircraft usually lift off at on avarage?
seen quite a lot without a u/c launched from trollies or carts and this
got me thinking that the aircraft power unit has to move both cart and
aircraft to attain lift off speed then I remembered I have a large ...
Glowplug question17 Mar 2007 01:13 GMT5
I have a power supply I built many years ago that I use with my .049
engines. It runs off of a car battery or any 6-28v source. I built it
because I got sick and tired of those cox battery packs that seemed to go
dead all the time. I have it adjustable, so that on low it barely ...
Hints for high altitude flying?16 Mar 2007 18:07 GMT12
I'm struggling to get a plane to fly well at a rather high altitude
(about 9000ft, normally I fly at ~4000ft ASL or so). It flies at the
moment, just with abysmal performance: No power for climbing anything at
anythich > 5 degrees. It floats very well though. :)

Help on field-box finish16 Mar 2007 03:37 GMT4
Hi, I bought a Master Caddy and I was wondering what paint you would choose
for the box.  I want it to have a shiny surface, very smooth, almost like
car paint and of coure fuel resistant.
Any ideas?
RC-Universe forums15 Mar 2007 21:34 GMT6
About 1 week ago I found I could no longer access the forums on
rcuniverse.com
Prior to this I had no problems, then all of a sudden... no groups.
The required page loads as a blank page and just says done.... but
Fuel tank orientaion15 Mar 2007 20:47 GMT3
Is there any reason why a standard rectangular fuel tank would not work with
the wide dimension across the fuselage rather than vertical. It is just that
there often seems to be a chance of better location of the tank to the
needle valve.
convert gas to EP15 Mar 2007 17:33 GMT5
I have a .40 size cub.  The E motor specs seem complicated. Any suggestions?
