Older Futaba T6XA Transmitter fully charged voltage ?14 Mar 2007 14:42 GMT19
I have had this transmitter and the battery that came with it for many
years now.. I'm curious what the fully charged voltage should be in
the unit... IE:  I seem to recall around 11.2 volts on the LCD
before.. now I'm only getting about 10.7 volts.. though the battery
Will this airplane fly?14 Mar 2007 01:29 GMT14
Actually, I think the question should be, how well will it fly? Or maybe,
how small can my wing be and the thing still fly? I designed this as a
trainer with a small wing area, something that will fly but not well enough
to do stunts, etc. This is the specs:
Hey Marty!13 Mar 2007 21:49 GMT2
I have an Evolution 26GT. Are they suffering from the over compression
problem that your MVVS 1.60 engines? Thanks.

Battery question13 Mar 2007 21:23 GMT2
I have a few 9.6v packs but dont have much use for them now so if I take
an 8 cell 9.6v 1000Mah and split it down the middle will it make two
4.8v 1000Mah?, splitting them is no problem as they have metal strip
connectors which I can cut in two and solder wires to with a new plug so
Kaos vs Chaos13 Mar 2007 02:08 GMT8
ebay item # 120090405769 says it's a Bridi Kaos.  I have a Bridi Chaos on
the shelf.  What manufacturer is this kit on ebay that spell Chaos with  K?
Do you think putting Bridi in the description would bring more lookers?  Do
you think it is a mistake?
lazy ace photos13 Mar 2007 00:02 GMT15
I finally got my Lazy Ace covered.  I acquired the plans from a local
guy who wanted to clear a bunch of junk out of his basement a few years
ago.   He had a lot of plans, but he finally admitted that he's just not
a plans builder and never will be.  I was happy to take these ...
Power management with electrics12 Mar 2007 18:49 GMT5
Since I'm fairly new to - and more than a bit ignorant about -  electric
flight, I'm curious about using more motor than one really needs.  From
what I've read, one wastes battery power, turning it into heat by the
ESC, when at less than full power.  Therefore, isn't it logical ...
Any recommendations?12 Mar 2007 16:47 GMT10
As I will soon be finished with model ship building for this year at
least I will soon be in the position to spend some money on radio gear,
what I am looking for is good basic transmitters with decent range and 6
channel or thereabouts.
Can I test AR6100 with just transmitter?12 Mar 2007 16:16 GMT1
Is it possible to test AR6100 receiver without having anything other than
transmitter? I thought about powering it from a battery and using LED to
see if I'm getting a signal from the transmitter but I'm not sure how to
connect it.
APC props OK for gas?12 Mar 2007 15:22 GMT36
My wife went to the LHS, and brought home some "APC" props. They are 5.7x3,
and appear to be made from hard grey plastic. The hole in the center is
large, and they came with two different sized bushings for different size
screws. Are these safe to use with glow engines? I'm ...
540 motors11 Mar 2007 00:31 GMT3
Are 540's worth bothering with? I have finished up with four virtually
new Johnson 540's and wondered if it was worth fitting them as I dont
know the power output compared to a 600,

Despite being officially the most backward state in Malaysia and
therefore in the world, in the same class as many poor African
nations, we have among the best site, pilots and constructors.
old v new 4 strokes10 Mar 2007 10:29 GMT3
I have recently acquired an unflown scale bi-plane, approx. 69" wingspan.
The builder recommended a .70 4 stroke, but the plans show a OS90 4-stroke.
The thing is, the plans are probably around 20 years old. (maybe more)
So, my question is:-
RC plane faq10 Mar 2007 04:19 GMT11
Hello, I am a first time poster. I'm looking for a FAQ so I can be
more knowledgeable on my first plane purchase.
It's a choice between gas / electric..... and how much of a beginner
to buy vs. getting bored quickly.
