My scratch build doesn't fly very well !!!30 Apr 2007 19:43 GMT7
I have scratch built a 1/10th scale PSS Me109 from white foam and
brown paper (some ply and balsa as well). Elevator and Aileron only.
It flys OK in a steady wind but seems a bit skittish in anything
variable. It seems to stall quite easily in even in gently turns. I
How do you control a pair of ducted fans (or dual props) to steer, etc?30 Apr 2007 01:07 GMT3
A pair of ducted fans can steer.
Is there a single component that allows you to control the balance for
turns and their speed?
Do you you use 2 channels of your transmitter/receiver?
aftermarket cox parts29 Apr 2007 05:03 GMT2

laminating27 Apr 2007 22:22 GMT1
Interesting discovery today was how to make thin strong laminated
material for panels very cheaply, when you are around car boot sales or
junk markets keep an eye open for an old hand operated clothes wringer
condition immaterial apart from it needs good rollers.

working like twin rudders or are they opposed? cant quite envisage how
they work and are controlled, may need to use one on a 5 foot span model

Electric Tote/Field box options and charging lead batteries?27 Apr 2007 15:33 GMT12
I've narrowed down my choices to these two totes.  I will be doing the

Spektrum or Futaba 2.4 gh radio?27 Apr 2007 03:45 GMT12
Before I invest in my f1rst radio system, I would appreciate
some input.  I am a beginner, and, at 62, don't see myself
going beyond sport flying.  My plan is to start with slow,
park fliers.  Perhaps later I might move up in size and
Small fun fly electric plane with removable wings26 Apr 2007 16:54 GMT5
I have been flying the cougar 2000 for some time and really enjoy it. I have
a very small car (Ford Ka) and cannot get even a shock in the boot. I'd like
some suggestions on an electric fun fly plane with about a 1m wingspan that
has removable wings so that I can keep it in the ...
