I have a few questions as I've been looking threw some plans for my first attempt, along with any other tid bits, or places I could visit to get my knowledge base up to par before I start. First off, what is the best way to transfer from plans to wood?

| .36 size 3D profile kit/ARF? | 24 Apr 2007 23:27 GMT | 2 |
I've been thinking about giving the 3D bit a spin and happen to have a spare Thundertigre .36 2C with a MACs muffler looking for a home. Most of the planes I've seen are for a .46-.50 2C, but I'm looking for something a little smaller - along the lines of a Sig Fazer, but built for ...

| Futaba 6EX Charge Diode | 24 Apr 2007 20:51 GMT | 3 |
I'm trying to verify the location of the protection diode in the charge circuit of the Tower 6XM/Futaba 6EX transmitter. Futaba will add a "Poly Switch" allowing discharge through the charging jack but the cost including shipping will be close to $50. In the past, I've ...

I have recently acquired a laser 120 V (well, he says it is a 120), and am about to try starting it - it's installed in a a plane already. The engine is quite old and had that wonderful, but in my opinion somewhat inappropriate for a 4c, smell of old castor (go on then, all ...

I purchased a $35.00 airhog (styrafoam cheapo plane) for a friend's eight year old son. I had a lot of fun with my own airhog, easy to fly, pretty durable for the amount of times I crashed into things with it, but his plane is having problems and I want to buy him a better

| Are there any Bipes that are good for a first plane? | 21 Apr 2007 15:50 GMT | 4 |
I'm interested in getting into flying gas powered planes. And I love the look of the bipes(that's what we flyers call them). Are they too much for a novice? I would think that with all that lift they would be a good choice but I don't see *any* for sale on the web as

Hobby Lobby is having a sale and you can get an Optic 6 with the Spectrra Module (no rx or servos) for about $170. Polk's has their Tracker III with a 6 ch rx for $180. I need a new Tx (I have at least 2 planes that don't fit in my current Futaba that's full....)
