Going to build from plans25 Apr 2007 02:04 GMT18
I have a few questions as I've been looking threw some plans for my
first attempt, along with any other tid bits, or places I could visit
to get my knowledge base up to par before I start.
First off, what is the best way to transfer from plans to wood?
.36 size 3D profile kit/ARF?24 Apr 2007 23:27 GMT2
I've been thinking about giving the 3D bit a spin and happen to have a
spare Thundertigre .36 2C with a MACs muffler looking for a home.  Most of
the planes I've seen are for a .46-.50 2C, but I'm looking for something a
little smaller - along the lines of a Sig Fazer, but built for ...
Futaba 6EX Charge Diode24 Apr 2007 20:51 GMT3
I'm trying to verify the location of the protection diode in the charge
circuit of the Tower 6XM/Futaba 6EX transmitter.  Futaba will add a "Poly
Switch" allowing  discharge through the charging jack but the cost including
shipping will be close to $50.  In the past, I've ...
Laser 120 V23 Apr 2007 21:58 GMT1
I have recently acquired a laser 120 V (well, he says it is a 120), and am
about to try starting it -  it's installed in a a plane already. The engine
is quite old and had that wonderful, but in my opinion somewhat
inappropriate for a 4c, smell of old castor (go on then, all ...

Need recommendation for R/C gift for 8 year old22 Apr 2007 17:13 GMT9
I purchased a $35.00 airhog (styrafoam cheapo plane) for a friend's
eight year old son. I had a lot of fun with my own airhog, easy to
fly, pretty durable for the amount of times I crashed into things with
it, but his plane is having problems and I want to buy him a better
Hydro foam / Hydrofoam Boat/plane22 Apr 2007 15:57 GMT1
I saw the original Michael Connally video on the web and immediately
knew that I had to have something like this.
Then I got bogged down in researching which one to buy! There seem to
be the most enormous amount of different models of "hydro
Black Horse Twister22 Apr 2007 04:44 GMT3
Hi everyone.  Has any one had any experience with the kit brand name
Black Horse and in particular the Black Horse Twister.  I am looking
at buying one for my next plane after my trainer.
Cheers
Are there any Bipes that are good for a first plane?21 Apr 2007 15:50 GMT4
I'm interested in getting into flying gas powered planes. And I love
the look of the bipes(that's what we flyers call them).
Are they too much for a novice? I would think that with all that lift
they would be a good choice but I don't see *any* for sale on the web as

DuBro prop balancer - any good?20 Apr 2007 22:15 GMT7
I saw a DuBro prop balancer in a hobby store today. Anyone have anything
good or bad to say about them? It cost about $30, and was the only one they
had.
brushless query20 Apr 2007 12:17 GMT13
Quik Question - if you linked the three wires from two identical
brushless motors together in pairs then fed them to the ESC would it
work?, say two 10A motors off a 25A ESC,
                             regards,        Terry
Reverse sense of controls in RC-AirSim?19 Apr 2007 05:43 GMT1
Does anyone know how to reverse the sense of the controls in RC-AirSim
(using it with an E-Sky 0905A 4 channel RC joystick control simulator)
Hitec Optic 6 w/Spectra vs Polk's Tracker III18 Apr 2007 20:12 GMT3
Hobby Lobby is having a sale and you can get an Optic 6 with the
Spectrra Module (no rx or servos) for about $170.  Polk's has their
Tracker III with a 6 ch rx for $180.  I  need a new Tx (I have at
least 2 planes that don't fit in my current Futaba that's full....)
