Inflight Video II (with crash!)15 May 2007 13:53 GMT1
OK this time Burger King didn't fare so well.  I hurried up my landing for
some dumb reason, got too slow and tip stalled into the ground.  Here is the
video.  Got a couple of crushed wing tips, dis-located firewall, and a bit
of damage in the wing mounting secion of the fuse..  ...

I have a teedee .049 that has only been run on the bench. I cannot get the
engine to run smoothly. It will run for a bit, and then lean out and surge,
and then smooth out. It's defintely not stable enough to actually trying to
fly something with it. It acts as if the fuel supply ...

I've Futaba T6-XAS comuter radio I'm not going to use anymore. I moved
up to a 9CAP. This radio is literally like new. Always cased.

While loading our van with our vendor stuff at the SEFF meet, a little 15"
R/C Hydroplane boat was stolen off our table. It is white. It's a one of a
kind. It says Micro Bat on it and has our website on it too. If any of you

I have an Alpah 40 that I intend to convert to electric. Does anyone
have any advice in this area? I have looked at some combos and it looks
like it will run somewhere around $400.00 for the  motor,esc, and lipo.
I am not interested in extreme speed, just dependable and long ...

I have read through the last 450 or so articles and got some answers.
I'd like some further clarification/opinions.
Many years ago, I use to build and fly rc airplanes.  Mostly built them

Saw number of ideas on how to engineer contra-rotating props everything
from co-axial drives of one motor to totally seperate motors with the
one at the rear having a solid shaft and the one at the front having a
hollow shaft so you still end up with a co-axial drive.

I'm having a heck of a time putting Deans connectors on my
battery packs.  I have melted 2 female sides trying.  I've
tried silver solder & flux and rosin core solder & flux.
I've tried two soldering irons - both pencil tipped. One is

haven't played with engines since I was a kid ( Cox .049/.020).
I was given a Super Tigre .60 (G-60?) in pieces.
It looks like everything is intact & all parts are there - sans head
gaskets.

Do all ESCs have a BEC for the receiver? Does the flight motor cut
before the voltage gets too low for the receiver?

New to RC. I'm getting a Futaba 7CAP 7 Ch FM PCM Transmitter and
wondering if it will work with other brand receiver like Hitec or do I
have to use the one  made by Futaba?  The plane I'm interested in is
