| Would you allow people to fly your plane remotely via a web service for a fee? | 09 Jun 2007 09:43 GMT | 50 |
I've been thinking of a web 2.0 startup that would pair up people with model airplanes with people who would like to fly them remotely via the web from the comfort of their homes. A video camera would transmit live video from the plane and/or the

| Found airplane | 08 Jun 2007 21:30 GMT | 15 |
I was out geocaching and came across a crashed airplane. It's nothing fancy I don't think. (Compared to some I see on here) It has over a 6' wingspan and the nose is busted off but still attached with wires. I don't know a thing about this hobby and was wondering if there is a

| Q: How solid does a wing need to be? | 08 Jun 2007 08:42 GMT | 18 |
Just a question out of curiosity: How do you determine how much force a wing needs to be able to withstand? I'd imagine it's some function of the planes weight vs. angular displacement capability or somesuch? I've googled around for any info but pretty much came up with nothing ...

| Q: Position of landing gear? | 08 Jun 2007 02:28 GMT | 14 |
Hello again :) Typically I use the landing gear so it's almost where the CoG is, with a front wheel setup. I've had a few issues with it in general, mainly that the airplane is much too light to flare it much for landing - it stalls

I flew my new Pipsqueak this evening. I built it from RCM plans and powered it with an 020 that came from a Cox Sky Copter. I built my first Pipsqueak a couple of years ago with a Pee Wee 020, which was the perfect engine for it, but it gave me only a couple of minutes of ...

| .049 head gasket question | 01 Jun 2007 06:13 GMT | 9 |
Is there a limit to how many times you can remove/reinstall the glowplug off of an .049 engine? I have an engine that I can't get to peak out at max rpm, and one of the areas I'm suspicious of the glowplug/head gasket seal.
