Model RC plane for a beginner26 Jul 2007 14:02 GMT2
I would be grateful if you would recommend a suitable RC plane kit for an
absolute beginner who is interested in electric flight.  I really would like
to have the pleasure of building the model rather than simply assembling
foam components.
Cedar Hobbies Twin Stik26 Jul 2007 03:56 GMT1
This ARF was written up in the latest issue of Model Aviation. Has
anyone built it or know anything about it? When you go to the web site
there is a link to the product manual but it is dead. An advance
notice of things to come???
First flight report - New pilot experiment25 Jul 2007 16:25 GMT12
Report of first flight of ParkZone Spitfire.  Student has no prior RC
experience, and has trained only on a computer fight simulator called
FMS. Experiment is to see if I can teach myself to fly a "hot stick"
plane.
Rebuild classics in composite material25 Jul 2007 16:09 GMT1
For a long time now I have had the idea that it might be fun to try to
rebuild some old balsa planes I have had in composite versions. I would
be curious to see how much stronger/lighter I can make the design by
going to new materials but maintaining the same basic design. I still
How to make wing molds?25 Jul 2007 16:05 GMT1
I have always wanted to be able to make my own molded wings but I have
never been quite clear on the best way to go about doing it. Normally
when making a mold it seems you create the plug, glass it over, put a
nicec smooth finish on it, etc. then coat it with mold release wax and
Litco Email response?25 Jul 2007 12:11 GMT4
Anyone had any luck getting an Email response out of Litco about
repairing an Alpha-4?  I've been trying for a week, no response.  Can't
find anything on their web site about it either.
Guess I'll have to call them on Monday.

Best guide for going electric?25 Jul 2007 00:42 GMT4
Anyone point me to the best guide for going electric?
I could buy magazines for the next 6 months and derive information from
them, but there must be a good, well written guide to different motors,
cell-packs and chargers somehwere?

I kept a blog, as best I could, while I was there:
I've got one more big batch of photos to crop and
upload to the Photo Albums.

ParkZone warbird gliding?23 Jul 2007 22:04 GMT25
Just got my Spitfire today.  I was thinking of taking off the prop and
tossing it for a few short glides to get the feel of it.  How do these
things glide?

CoCo Lama Heli problem23 Jul 2007 05:52 GMT1
I have a CoCo Lama, and I'm having trouble trimming it out.  No matter what
I do I get a yaw to the right.  I tried adjusting the gyro but it doesn't
seem to have much affect.  Even with the trim full left, I still get a right
yaw.
