Thanks, Ted.
More on dope17 Aug 2007 18:54 GMT5
I was looking through supplies for "real" aircraft and found
clear dope for $29.30 a gallon.  That certainly beats over
$5 for 3.5 oz at the LHS.   I remember going to a local
airport as a kid to buy dope by the gallon.  We used to add

Proctor Nieuport 11 instruction manual17 Aug 2007 02:39 GMT1
I have acquired this great kit, but it lacks the 32 page instruction manual.
Does anyone happen to have one they could copy and send to me. Naturally I
will pay for copy and mailing expense.

I am thinking of buying one of these radios. I'm only going to use it on a

later.
I was wondering what peoples opinions were on this radio. Also I am able to

Battery of the Future?15 Aug 2007 22:55 GMT6
It's incredible sometimes to see what today's young people are
capable of doing.
Imagine a self charging solar battery that is also the covering of
your plane. Shouldn't be long now.
servo reversal Y lead15 Aug 2007 19:51 GMT14
I want the 2 elevator servos on my model to operate in opposite directions
using a Y lead.
Is it just a matter of reversing the + and - wires on one side of the Y
lead, or is it more than that?

Battery pack assembly.14 Aug 2007 17:48 GMT11
Would it do batteries any harm to stick them in the freezer for a while
before soldering the tags on to lessen the chance of overheating during
the soldering operation? I need to make up a couple of 2700 Mah 7.2v
sticks to fit into narrow glider fuselages and can buy the cells but

Another Great Flying Outing14 Aug 2007 04:55 GMT7
I really think I've got the hang of this! One would hope, anyway,
since my plane is essentially a slow-stick powered glider. Still, it's
great to be able to get aloft on the first attempt, and today I got two
flights of over 5 minutes each, by soaring in the breeze aloft for up ...
replace bearings in electric motor13 Aug 2007 23:49 GMT1
Had my PJS-1000 electric motor develop a knock, just like a gas engine, now
that really got everybodies attention! :)  Got so hot it locked up and
couldn't put a finger on it.
Pulled it apart and found the rear bearing bad.  A flying buddy told me he'd
