| Slowstick, Futuba, Dubro & Holes | 13 Aug 2007 20:32 GMT | 6 |
I'm building a Slowstick. Bought a Futuba radio w/ 2x S3110 servos from the LHS at the same time as the Slowstick. Slowstick control rods are 0.055" piano wire. Holes in Futuba servo arms are about #67 drill, probably 1/32" (0.032). Not going to fit.

| Giant Scale size limits? | 13 Aug 2007 16:18 GMT | 4 |
I have a friend on an aviation forum who is adamantly convinced that RC models are restricted by law to 1/4 scale or smaller. Yes, I know it's absurd -- a 57-foot B-36 would be OK but a 5-foot Pitts S-1 would not -- and when I point him to ads for larger kits he just ignores

Will a clip-on glow starter work with a Cox .049 motor or will I have to invest in a head that uses standard glow plugs to use one?

| noob Q: effect of + prop pitch on electric setup | 12 Aug 2007 23:19 GMT | 2 |
factory config: 11oz parkflyer w/ speed 300 motor geared to an 8x4 slowfly prop, 800mah 7.4v 2 cell lipo and 8/15amp ESC. what would the effect be of going to an 8x6 prop on this setup, all else unchanged?

| a more robust firewall matl for a parkflyer | 12 Aug 2007 21:38 GMT | 5 |
my eindecker's doing the business, but the motor-mount/firewall interface collapsed after the umpteenth nose-over. it's thin plywood, and the the 3 spots where the motor mount were fixed didnt have alot of extra material (lots of cut-outs).

| How to replace covering with elevator and rudder on | 12 Aug 2007 15:38 GMT | 4 |
I would like to know how to replace the covering on my fuse with the rudder and elevator still on the airplane. It flies very well and I don't want to make any changes that may cause it not to fly as well.

Part 4 OK, we are almost thru with the basic construction of the nacelles and its time to think ahead a bit. The magazine tells you to discard the aluminum engine mount and use some GP nose wheel mounts instead. This

I took my "Vulcan" powered glider (newly repatched) and my Hobbyzone Scout (tail freshly 'splinted') up to Saratoga Battlefield National Park this evening. I had two amazing flights with the Vulcan, and no crashes, no failed launches, no damage to the plane. Both flights were ...

Is 13.4 oz per sq ft wing loading all up with 7.2v 2400 Mah battery too high for a 6 foot span powered glider? it came out a bit heavier than I expected and wonder if I need to slim it down a bit, regards, Terry

| 2 wire Servos??? | 09 Aug 2007 15:26 GMT | 21 |
According to Tower Hobby, their System 2000 Dual-BB Giant scale Servo TS-80 comes with 2 (NOT 3 wires). They also say that the third wire is not necessary. Please, someone enlighten me as to how this works.
