Tail Skid for A 'Tail Dragger'?19 Sep 2007 01:34 GMT9
I'm taking the Commander 2 to a local national park tomorrow, and
would like to use the paved access road as an airstrip, to practice
taking off and landing from the ground. I *don't* like the idea of
asphalt wearing away the bottom of the tail boom, though, so I was

Neon Monocote18 Sep 2007 13:24 GMT12
I'm using neon yellow to cover an Uproar(40) and the first large piece stuck
to it self like shelf paper. Could not get it apart to cover with, the glue
pulled off. I was very careful afterward.  Has anyone has this happen?

Trimming A Hobbyzone Commander 216 Sep 2007 13:35 GMT9
It seems that all of the planes I buy have a 'built-in bank' one way
or the other, and this one banks left. The wings are on straight, and it
behaves the same even when the main wing is slightly skewed. It also
behaves the same way whether or not the motor is running. I finally
Gee-Bee Electric16 Sep 2007 11:29 GMT3
I bought a Gee-Bee from Parkflyer.com.  It came with a brushless outrunner
motor (No name) designated only as "Bm 2408 - 21."   It also came with an 18
amp. ESC and a 2 cell 7.4V Li-Po 1800 mAh battery.  The designated prop is
10 X 4.7.

Need help recovering the oily and sticky airplane from hell12 Sep 2007 19:08 GMT3
I have an airplane that flies very well, but is horribly ugly.  I
decided to recover the fuse and tail feathers (the wing has already
been recovered.) I am leaving the elevator and rudder attached since
it does fly well and I don't want to take a chance of changing its
Smelling of....11 Sep 2007 22:09 GMT2
A nice day 's flying, schools are back, workers are where they should be
and everywhere is tranquil again.
The heather is in bloom and the moors look superb.

NiMH Batteries and TX Range11 Sep 2007 20:34 GMT6
I'm currently using 8 AA alkaline batteries in my TXs, and
recharging them with an alkaline recharger. I'd *like* to switch to NiMH
batteries, but I'm concerned about a drop in range if I go from
batteries producing about 12 volts to those producing about 9.6. Should
First Gas engine11 Sep 2007 15:08 GMT7
I'm putting together my first warbird and gas engine combo. I have a Hangar
9 P47 60 size and a Zenoah G20.
My question involves installing the fuel tank. I have the necessary fuel
line and stopper for gasoline. The G20 has a fuel pump on the Walbro carb.

Flight Simulator in Google Earth10 Sep 2007 20:25 GMT6
I was sent a link by my sis that talks about this 'hidden' feature:
http://marco-za.blogspot.com/2007/08/google-earth-flight-simulator.html
I haven't tried it as I haven't loaded Google Earth yet, but it looks
like it might be kinda fun for the scenic value.
