Anyone flying one of these engines? Mine's in the box
awaiting mounting. It is hard to believe that they sold this
engine for only $150 plus shipping.
No, I'm not connected to the sellers in any way.

Tower Hobbies is giving away free hats and deeply discounting a lot of
Lanier products right now.
Some of the highlights are:
Evolution .46 carb size16 Jan 2008 18:29 GMT11
Does anyone happen to know the exact carb size on the Evo .46?  I
need the diameter of the part that actually mounts in to the engine. I
want to order a replacement carb from Perry but I need the exact size
and don't have anything that I can use to take a precise measurement.

I recently aquired a control line plane by Sterling Models, Stearing
PT-17.  The wing span is 32 1/4 ",  Length 24", for .19 to .35
engine.  It is a Bi-plane with a monocoupe fuselage. I'd like to
convert it to an RC plane. I thought I could just hack the upper fuse,
Question on buying my first aerobatic airplane14 Jan 2008 04:31 GMT4
I am currently flying an electric sports airplane, and would like to move to
aerobatics. Any advise in this transition is welcome.
For room issues, I am limited to 40-inch wingspan. My 4-channel radio does
not support dual or exponential rates, and my budget is rather limited. ...

I've waited a couple of days since this happened to see if I would just
let it go, but the sick feeling I have in my stomach forces me to
contact you because besides myself you may very well be the only UVA
member who gives a sh.t!
Smallest production gas turbine10 Jan 2008 10:01 GMT4
What is the smallest gas turbine available in production? I am not
interested in thrust - just mass flow; but it must be really small. I have
seen some photos (I may post it later) of a turbine about 50mm diameter.
Any help much appreciated.
Cardboard Construction09 Jan 2008 19:35 GMT10
While reading some of http://airfieldmodels.com/ (great stuff btw) I came
across a link to http://home.earthlink.net/~charlesfelton/.  I've always
enjoyed scratch building especially for exotic or experimental models.
So I figure I'll have a go at using some throw away ...
