Any one know why ESc's ( high current) are built with multiple MOSFETS and
not just a couple of 50A jobs? Seems technically entirely feasible....

found a pond!22 May 2008 02:06 GMT4
I had a few spare moments today, so I went out and flew my newly
finished scratchbuilt RCM Basic Trainer, which is a .25 powered high
winger with Clark-Y type airfoil.  I set it up with lots of throw on the
ailerons and elevator.  It's a really great airplane, but the place I
eBay bids on RC stuff22 May 2008 00:34 GMT12
Maybe it's because the dollar is so low overseas, but if anyone is watching
rc gear auctions on eBay, it's unreal the prices that things are going for.
In many cases, if not all, I can buy brand new through TowerHobbies, cheaper
and with the Tower Hobbies service and warranties.  ...

Park flier17 May 2008 00:47 GMT13
A while ago I relocated to a new city, and unfortunately, downgraded
to an apartment.  As such I had to sell off all of my RC's.  Now the
life's settled a little bit I was thinking about getting a park flier
- as in a small electric.  There are a lot of options out there now

I have brought one of the cheap Al's hobbies Hawks, but the fan vibrates

On Hanger 9 stuff15 May 2008 05:17 GMT2
I thought this is worth passing on.
Until now I had never tried Hanger 9 ARF models.  I just got a Pulse 60 -- a
very nice looking model.  This is, without a doubt, the best/highest quality
model I have ever gotten.  The whole darn thing is essentially bolted
Flying wing design13 May 2008 23:16 GMT45
I'm new to RC.  Looking about the web brought up a question
perhaps someone more knowledgeable can answer.  What would
happen if you built a flying wing with a small amount of
dihedral?  Would it be more forgiving for beginners?
Help!!!  Which JR Trannie??11 May 2008 23:58 GMT1
I have been an RC modeller since the 1960s (strewth, as long ago as
that!!!) but we moved house in 2000 and, after the inevitable
redecorating, I never seemed to get back into RC flying again, apart
from occasionally dabbling in RC flight sims on my computer, so am
What would you do?09 May 2008 20:51 GMT9
A while back, (January 2008) I ordered an SV 26 from Hobby City in China. It
arrived okay in a couple of weeks. I saw their SV 50 and ordered one of
them. They were on backorder, but they still charged me $232 and change. I
heard some bad things about the engine and cancelled my ...
