I'm a total ignoramus with RC planes, but am considering getting a Hasbro
Power Air Surfer for my 8 yr old nephew. Has anyone played with it and have

I have just had verizon FIOS installed, and now do not see newsgroup
messages subsequent to July 4. A Verizon rep suggested that I attempt to

If you're considering the purchase of any Magnum 4-stroke engines in the
near future, you might want to get off the fence and get them ordered.
This is normally the time of year when Global Hobby has run a sale on Magnum
Engines, and many folks bought XL .91 RFS engines last year ...

Does anyone know anything about the Clearview Flight Simulator?  At
$30.00 it might be a good basic sim or it might be junk.  Any experience
out there?

While I'm asking, has anyone used water based paint with silkspan?  I
love that stuff for small models; it's the worlds most forgiving
covering material I've ever put on a model.  But the way it sags when
you wet it makes me worry about painting it with something that's

I'm just getting back into RC and have a partially built (wing and tail)
Black Baron Special. I have all the parts but no instructions other than the
wing plans. If anyone has the instructions and can copy/scan them for me it
would be immensely helpful. thanks!

I am having a bit of a problem getting my ST 51 to run smoothly. I
have had STs before so I know you have a delicate balance between the
low end and high end before you get it just right. I recall reading
somewhere that the position of the spray bar is very critical as well.

Does anyone know how to compute how much better a airplane wing design
based on this whale flippers shape? Is it 10, 20 og 50% better? Can
anybody model it?:

I've got some Nelson's water based paint that I used on a
polyspan-covered model a few years ago.  It worked great, and I'll use
it again.
But the next project is an all-sheet C/L model (like this one,
