Old Sterling PT-17 kit30 Sep 2008 03:09 GMT10
Anyone here ever build the old 1960's Sterling PT-17 R/C biplane kit?
I saw one of these fly back in the late sixties or early seventies. It was
powered by a Fox .78 (two glow plugs) and it sure looked real in the air.
I've always wanted one of these kits. Lo and behold, a radio ...

have notice, there is not very mush information on the net about
this.  Is any of you have very good website which talk about jet,
turbine, price, operation of, trick and advice ?
Recommendation for a glider29 Sep 2008 12:52 GMT8
Hi guys.  Can anyone point me to a sailplane thats not to big and has
electric motor for starting?
I need something to toss in the air on weekends.  I now have 4 kids from 0
to 7, and getting to the airfield isn't easy.  I'd like it to be ARF or

Fuel Tank Video28 Sep 2008 05:01 GMT7
I asked this in RCUniverse without any answers so I thought I would
ask it here.  A few months ago, I viewed a video on the internet
showing a split screen of a fuel tank with clunk and the maneuvers the
airplane was going through at the same time.  It was a great

Any thoughts on this plane?  It's a newer variation of the Cessna,
supposedly suited to even slower flight.  Weighs about nothing, foam
construction, 3 channel radio, fairly inexpensive.  Reviews have
people flying them in 5MPH winds and above – holding one it feels like
new post....who is using A123's for electric flight?24 Sep 2008 00:51 GMT9
Who is using A123 batteries for electric flight? How many cells?  How are
you charging them? What do you think of them?  They have come DOWN a lot in
price (at least the 1100 mahs)  have dropped in price.

Slow Stick props22 Sep 2008 21:49 GMT3
Upgraded my SS to brushless but still left with the problem of broken props.
Have seen a recommendation for E-flite props but cannot find a retailer in
the UK

Wanna trade?21 Sep 2008 21:30 GMT3
I'm looking for a Yamaha RD-350/400, Kawasaki H1/H2 in rideable condition. I
have lots and lots of R/C stuff I am willing to trade for it. Seriously, I
have more stuff than any of the local hobbyshops. In fact, I probably have
more brand new recently made engines and ARFs, plus ...
Ah, cool air on the way...21 Sep 2008 19:26 GMT7
The weather folks say that cooler air should be arriving soon. It's about
time. I was beginning to think that I wouldn't get a chance to fly this year
until it became too cold to enjoy flying. I sure wish I had held onto that
ancient, but functional, 79 Dodge motorhome that I ...

I haven't seen but one or two posts each day of this week. I'm using
bellsouth's newsgroup, motzarella.org and aioe.org's listings. Is everyone
enjoying the Fall weather and just not typing on their computers? Or is this
the end of rec.models.rc.air?
New Spektrum AR500 Full Range Reeiver16 Sep 2008 09:21 GMT3
Has anyone in this newsgroup used the new Spektrum AR500 full

Brownout Detection" feature and it appears that my receiver
does not have this capability. I tested it by switching off the
