I am trying to get back into the hobby again. My equipment is about
5 yrs. old.  I have the wall plug type trickle chargers,  by Futaba
and 2
12 volt peak chargers, by Hobbico. Can I use them to charge the new

P-40 (Pica????)29 Oct 2008 21:06 GMT13
Being a sucker, I recently acquired a P-40 that the seller claimed it was a
Pica, but I don't recall them doing that particular bird unless it was many
years ago.  I missed out on their P-51 but did get the Spitfire.  This bird
seems to be all wood with plastic in the cowl area ...
FA (UK only) NewPower Modelism Extra 330S kit29 Oct 2008 14:02 GMT3
Hi, just a reminder that my eBay auction for a BPLR designed NewPower
Modelisme Extra 330S kist has two days to run and is still at the
entry price of £15 which is an absolute steal.
There is a page of good pictures of this model at <http://www.newpower-

Before I begin let me preface my statement by saying, it is not my intention
to offend anyone, I just feel this needs to be said.
Where is everyone?27 Oct 2008 23:06 GMT51
Stop worrying about the stock markets and the banks. It will pass. What will
be, will be - regardless of how it turns out.
Hobbies thrive during economic downturns. Been that way all of my 62 years.
People are too busy going places and doing other things to mess with models
fuel tank size27 Oct 2008 05:56 GMT11
i'm planing to use os 120 engine on a new model and want to use a big
fuel tank in order to get a long flight time (about 1000 cc).
I read in the past that there is a limited size for the tank, and you
cant use a big size tank.
Update on the Sig Sundancer 50:26 Oct 2008 21:35 GMT1
Update on the Sig Sundancer 50:
The builder could not gaurantee that he hardened the holes with CA where the
hardware went in the upper wing.  Sig would not replace anything.
SO, the second, Sundancer had been made sure to have CA hardened holes for

LSB suffered a tragic fire to their facilities last November.
Does anyone know when they might be back in operation?  Following

Seagull Models24 Oct 2008 18:01 GMT4
I just finished my first Saegull product (300 Extra) and love it. The
kit was just great. Since I bought it at the local hobby shop, and it
was the only one, I need to find a site that deals in their products.
I have tried Seagull.com but all that shows are their products but not
FS: NIB ASP .61 four-stroke24 Oct 2008 17:33 GMT2
A sweet engine. Yes, I had one before this one and it runs great, throttles
great and is just a nice putt-putt type of engine. If you want high
performance, buy YS cause this engine isn't it. But it is great for
reliable, relaxing flying in something like a Kadet LT or a Clancy ...
Limit on number of servos ... Why?24 Oct 2008 13:33 GMT7
I'm thinking of putting an AXI 2808/24 with a Jeti Advance 30 Plus speed
controller into a Multiplex Parkmaster.
In the instructions for the speed controller it says that if you use a
three-cell LiPo then you should use no more than three servos.
R/C aircraft exchange sites?24 Oct 2008 00:20 GMT1
After several years of inactivity, I'm looking to sell my R/C airplanes,
radios, parts, etc.
There used to be some good web sites for buying/selling this stuff, but I
can't remember what they are. Anyone know of some good sites to post
Need advice on a lipo charger22 Oct 2008 19:07 GMT1
I would like a recommendation on a balancing charger for my
batteries. Anyone have an all around favorite that charges everything
including 123's? I have a Triton Jr. and I want something a little more
versitile.  I also would like an a.c. plug in option.
