A newbie question17 Oct 2008 13:33 GMT2
I'm starting back into modeling after a 40 year break.  Things have changed
a lot since my days of Ambroid , silkspan and dope!  Is it possible to use
Monocoat covering for trim (stripes, etc.) over a surface painted with
acrylics?  Any special techniques needed?
BLDC speed control16 Oct 2008 22:50 GMT6
I am interested in driving an industrial-type brushless DC motor with
a hobby-type electronic speed controller.  There are industrial speed
controllers but they are larger, heavier, and much more expensive.
Are there any issues with doing this?  What is different between the
LiPo's in parallel?15 Oct 2008 22:40 GMT7
Since LiPo's are charged at constant voltage, if you were to make a harness
with perhaps 1/2 Ohm between each pack, would it be possible to

Home Brew Chargers anyone?08 Oct 2008 09:39 GMT14
Years ago I started working on what was supposed to be an alternative to the
Alpha 4.  The basic concept seemed simple enough but I wasn't sure how to
get components to handle reverse polarity and short circuits without smoke.
About the time other multi-chemistry chargers came on ...
Jet hovering ?03 Oct 2008 00:37 GMT17
Hello, how a jet can do hovering… I mean, as the thrust is at the rear
of the plane, how the elevator and the rudder can be affect by any
wind? (as the plane is not moving).  On a regular airplane, the thrust
is in front of the airplane, so there is always an air flow on rudder
