| Sky Scrambler falls over | 30 Dec 2008 21:43 GMT | 4 |
I was given a cheapo Sky Scrambler RC helicopter for Christmas. I've tried to fly it but when I crank up the throttle to get it airborne, it just tips over on its right hand side. Can anyone tell me what is going on? The throttle and trim appear to be working correctly.

| Newbie questions - start with an electric RTF? | 27 Dec 2008 22:54 GMT | 70 |
I suppose it's my turn to ask the newbie questions... I'm interesting in trying out model flying and, in the main, want to find out about what would be a good plane to start with. I'm aware that I should join a club, get insurance (via membership of the BMFA?) and undertake my

Good grief. I turn my back for a second and everyone disappears! Do you hate normal satellite or cable TV? Me too. Join NetFlix and you can receive movies over the high speed computer connection for free. The only "cost" is that you have to buy their special box for hooking up to ...

| A good RTF elect. for a youth? | 24 Dec 2008 22:52 GMT | 13 |
During Christmas friends always ask me what plane to buy their kids because they know I fly. I haven't been playing with or looking at RTF trainers lately. A guy wants something durable. Apparently he's gotten something that flies in the past that was a waste of money. I try ...

| Impatience, an extremely ill planned/executed ski plan and a pleasant failure | 24 Dec 2008 01:43 GMT | 3 |
This may be good for a laugh for some of you. I have a set of floats on the way to me, for snow use. Being impatient as I am, I decided I needed something for the mean time. You know, because waiting a few days was out of the question. So, I

Ed, do you think it might be a good plane for that Fox 36rx rc of mine. I'm thinking that heavy motor would do well in a radial style airframe and I like that one better than the Lockheed Vega. --

| New radio questions | 18 Dec 2008 22:36 GMT | 19 |
I am new to RC, currently enjoying my first plane, a 3 channel park flyer. I'm to the point where I can manage most flights without damage and am looking toward my next airplane. I want it to include ailerons and that means a new radio. I think 6 channels are plenty and 2.4 GHz ...

Just look up your old motors Thor, Fox etc. by model number. I 'tried' with my old(ish) Fox 36 RX RC with in the cowel muffler #23899. Not a whole lot on that one...even at Fox's site. 8^) But it was fun. --
