Dead electric motor.28 Jun 2009 15:29 GMT2
Flew my Greensleeves electric glider today, with a new battery, new (2.4)
receiver.
I bought the new LiPo (3 cell) to replace a heavy NiCd/NiMh (7 cell).
New battery was charged last month but never flew (weather too bad).

Pico Stick F Wing Reinforcement22 Jun 2009 17:03 GMT3
I've had some problems with the wings on my Pico Stick F folding on
me.  I tried reinforcing them with push rods glued in place (bent in
the middle to allow for dihedral), but the rods just tore right
through the wing.
Kits on the shelf.21 Jun 2009 04:12 GMT25
It all started here years ago.  There was a thread about what kits you had
on the shelf.  Up until this point I built, flew, crashed....built,
flew, crashed ect.  I had no idea that in this hobby you had plans(no pun
intended) for future planes.  So many fellows had so many cool ...

As per the title, I have a 30cc homelite weed wacker engine. I know it weighs
a few pounds but
if I remove all the unwanted fluff from it, I might be able to shed a few
pounds...or so I hope.

pick-up with bed liner -- transporting airplanes11 Jun 2009 18:54 GMT26
My R/C transportation has changed from an old Ford Crown Vic (HUGE trunk and
back seat) to a Dodge Ram 1500 short-bed pickup.  The truck has a tonneau
cover and bedliner.  The bedliner is slippery as ice and I keep a hoe in the
back to retrieve things that have slid up against the ...
Re: Flying Machine Kit08 Jun 2009 23:24 GMT2
To update the thread a little... Don has been testing two of the ARF
down in Fla, and putting them through the paces. He has come up with
few mods that are now being put into the production version to improv
the design. The ARF is lighter than his show birds, and very strong
Pico Stick F05 Jun 2009 23:50 GMT3
I have a Pico Stick F (fuselage version) that I have been having
problems with (this is my first RC plane).
I built it with everything that came in the box, except I glued a
couple of carbon push rods to the underside of the wing to keep it

Help!!!  Which JR Trannie??04 Jun 2009 13:02 GMT4
I have been an RC modeller since the 1960s (strewth, as long ago as
that!!!) but we moved house in 2000 and, after the inevitable
redecorating, I never seemed to get back into RC flying again, apart
from occasionally dabbling in RC flight sims on my computer, so am
