Silkspan and Tissue Covering29 Nov 2009 17:10 GMT11
I have completed a slow flier from plans  and shown at
www.indoorflyingmodel.com.  It is the 'Chickadee'.
The author used ' litespan' covering which requires the application of heat
for adhesion. It is not avilable locally. Also, the use of heat is foreign
Looking for radio reviews/comparisons28 Nov 2009 14:08 GMT11
I lost my easyglider today. I was going for a little more altitude
than I have in the past and apparently lost radio contact. I almost
brought it back but it finally went straight down really fast and
toasted everything. Complete loss except for the two wing mounted
Fox 35, Connecting Rod, Augh!26 Nov 2009 01:31 GMT4
OK.  The motor (Fox 35 stunt) is getting torn down ready to get all the
25 year old gunk off and out in preparation for flight.

I've got the liner out, no problem (and yes, I remembered to mark it so

Scratch n Dent23 Nov 2009 06:03 GMT6
I looked on Tower Hobbies website in their scratch and dent section.  They
have the Big stick 60 wing set there for $33, normally priced $54.
Unfortunatetly the right wing is missing.  Now wouldn't you think if half
the product is missing it would be half the cost.

Nobler Yet18 Nov 2009 05:25 GMT3
Well, I _thought_ I was done with the covering -- I still have one stripe
to add to the bottom, and my AMA number on the wing.  But it's looking
rather complete:

After many months of work developing my new product line, getting prototypes made and perfected, selecting the "color" of the anodizing, coordinating the manufacturing, etc. etc. etc.  our company is finally launched!

determine what I need is a bit bewildering.

Tis a Far Nobler Thing11 Nov 2009 03:19 GMT2
Now that it has some _black_ on all that unrelieved _orange_!
This color scheme isn't too bad, after all!  I think I'm taking nearly as
long to do it this way as I would have to do silkspan and dope, though,
and for a lower-quality finish.  Granted, some of both the time and
