Real Flight17 Jul 2003 14:30 GMT1
Recently I became the General Manager of Knife Edge Software, makers of
the Real Flight R/C simulator.
Knife Edge (www.knifeedge.com) has its own discussion forums, which I
will monitor .  I'll also continue to monitor rec.models.rc.air.  But

Recommended balancer 15 Jul 2003 23:01 GMT1
Can anyone recommend a good balancer? I've currently got the Dubro, but it's
just not good enough. Every time I try to put balance tail blades or rotor
blades I get different results.
Thanks, Thomas
talking of Nitro content in fuel15 Jul 2003 23:00 GMT4
How come no-one ever mentions the benefit of running high-nitro fuel (other

that being that you can run a leaner mix and therefore get better
lubrication/run the engine cooler ?
Translation:Biological washing powder15 Jul 2003 07:08 GMT24
I have seen several references from our UK colleages to Biological
washing powder for cleaning engine parts.  Can someone who is bilingual
(UK English to American English)  translate that for those of us in the
US that aren't familiar with it.  It would be of greatest help if one ...
Newbie Gyro Question14 Jul 2003 21:27 GMT4
I built a Concept 30SR many years ago, but never got around to actually
flying it (same old story..). The radio gear is fine 3001`s , 128DF RX etc
but it has a Futaba FP-G154 Mechanical Gyro.  By all accounts this is no
longer the best thing to use, CSM being popular.

Stripped down an Irvine 53,(purchased second hand, but run perfectly through
two planes) found one of the threads in the body of the engine has been
What a f*****g disaster, the pictures14 Jul 2003 20:23 GMT2
You'll remember I managed to set the wife's car on fire a few weeks
ago....and she's STILL speaking to me!
Brief recap, I'd charged the flight packs for the Logo 10 and put them on
the back seat but, I had NOT disconnected the charging lead from the last

GV-1 mounted in Concept 30 - pics in alt.binaries.radio-control14 Jul 2003 16:17 GMT1
I have posted pictures of my installation of the Futaba GV-1 in my Concept
30 SRX in alt.binaries.radio-control. Since the C30 does not have the fan
against the engine, standard mounting was not possible. I attempted to mount
the sensor to the side frames, but was only able to get ...
