Newbe: why is it a good idear with more then 5 channels ?09 Oct 2003 10:16 GMT4
Okay as you have guest by now I am a new comber to this hobby, I have only
got a simulator to try the heli's on, and I think I like it :)
My next step is to gather as much information as my brain can take, and
some of the information I would like is about the basic Heli functions ...
Wow this is really hard work09 Oct 2003 09:52 GMT5
I have over 5,000 hours on full size helicopters (commercial). For a charity
event I was invited to 'have a go' at flying a model helicopter.
After 30 minutes or so managed tail-in hovering, but nose in and 'distant'
circuits a LOT more difficult.
Acrobatics... what does it all mean09 Oct 2003 05:17 GMT6

competitive.
Servo & Governor07 Oct 2003 21:04 GMT3
I'm considering getting a GV-1 for my Raptor 30V2, but a question...
In the same way as people tend to use a "special" servo to complement a
gyro, would I be well advised to upgrade my throttle servo and if so, any
recommendations from the JR range (or at least something compatible ...
Anyone want to buy a slightly damaged heli?07 Oct 2003 16:42 GMT6
Ok I have my heli here and it's got a few broken bits on it. I don't think
it's worth me spending the money on spares for the money I'd get for it
used, so I'm wondering if someone wants to buy it.
Anybody who knows a little about helis will realise it's not a stupid offer
Remove engine drive hub prior to installing fan?07 Oct 2003 12:05 GMT1
As my first helicopter I just bought a Raptor 50V2 kit and an OS 50 SX-H
engine.  Having never done this before I've got a question about installing
the engine fan.  For the OS engine do I remove the drive hub from the shaft
before screwing on the fan?
pitch/throttle curves06 Oct 2003 21:50 GMT1
Can anyone tell me what pitch/throttle curve settings I should start at to
do an inverted hover, I've a JR 378 which has 5 points to a curve, I take it
that Normal mode will stay the same, it would only be 1,2 that you would
have to set up????

overrunning clutch needed05 Oct 2003 23:09 GMT9
I have an oddball kind of question but here goes.  I am currently working on
a kinetic piece of sculpture (I am a professional artist and art instructor)
and in need of an overrunning clutch, or freewheel.  The sculpture is quite
delicate so I am looking for something light, fairly ...
