Best CA to use31 Dec 2003 19:47 GMT14
What is the best CA to use in the assembly of my new heli (blades and
other parts)? I have heard fast, slow, thick, and thin. I also want to
know so that I can have all the needed adhesives in my tool box. I
would like to know the name on the bottle like ZAP or other
Reviving a Raptor31 Dec 2003 18:45 GMT2
I have now removed my raptor (v1) from storage (in a very dusty shed).
Following an hour or so with some wd40 and plenty rags, several years of
grime has now been removed, and the raptor looks respectable.
With the aid of a new glow plug, and some tuning, i got the helicopter
Video - Flying my Rap30 today31 Dec 2003 18:40 GMT22
Thanks to Mark again for shooting this video today.  Also thanks to the heli
gods for yet another beautiflul sunny (cold) day.
This is me flying my Rap30 v1 - Irvine39, Zimmerman, Flair 5% fuel.  Not
easy to be smooth with this heli (you'll see what I mean!)
YS91 head gasket..bugger31 Dec 2003 17:46 GMT6
Anyone know where I can get a YS91ST2 head gasket from in the UK
(copper)...?  I can't seem to find a place who stocks YS spares.
If all else fails, does a C-spec gasket fit it?
I managed to bugger mine up (dont ask)!!
Hover with a swing31 Dec 2003 16:23 GMT4
Hi all you heli guys and gals.
When practicing hovers on a Realflight G2 sim, I noticed that my son can
keep the model pretty good on a spot, versus his dad who can hover but there
are these wide swings to the right or left, front and back. My son says
Smallest possible helicopter?31 Dec 2003 16:07 GMT14
Hi, I was wondering what the smallest possible electric helicopter size
would be,
I would really like to make a basic 2ch electric one using the electronics
from those minature rc cars, u know, the Tomy bit charg or the other 1:43
Which RC for a newbie?31 Dec 2003 14:34 GMT6
Hello again!
Most of the RC's we've been looking at have no price listed.  I want to
get the best that I can afford for my s/o; however my mind is boggled by the
choices!
Gas or Glow?31 Dec 2003 13:50 GMT5
I sure hope I'm not nerving y'all with my silly beginner questions, but here
it goes: For a 90-size heli, should I go with a 90 glow engine or a gasoline
engine? I'm living far from any hobby shop, so getting methanol fuel would
have to be by UPS or something. Not sure if that is a ...
NiMh cells insted of NiCad?31 Dec 2003 13:39 GMT3
My Futaba radio gear came with Nicad cells the transmitter only has 600mah
cells in it, Is it ok to change these to 2000mah NiMh cells?
Can I do the same for the receiver battery pack?
Also is there any advantages in running the receiver on 5-6 cells instead of
Starting out in flying choppers?30 Dec 2003 21:04 GMT12
I was involved in model rocketry a while back, but now that I am in Taiwan,
I cant fly any model rockets here, only bottle rockets and they are no fun
after a while... anyways I found several model shops that sells helicopters
and I was wondering how hard is it to fly one? am I ...
Concept SR spares30 Dec 2003 15:19 GMT4
Are there are far eastern suppliers that are reliable and offer a
price advantage?

Colin
So, how do y'all feel about the tiny electric helicopters?30 Dec 2003 12:02 GMT3
I've been flying planes for a while (electric and glow), but have
wanted to try helicopters for a while too.
I've seen the ads for the Piccolo electric helicopters in the R/C
magazines -- about $300 for a full setup for the basic model.  (I
MS Flight Sim30 Dec 2003 11:58 GMT6
I am thinking of buying a heli.
How does flying a helicopter on Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 compare to flying
the models.
By this I mean controlling hovers and general manoevers.
Single Stick30 Dec 2003 01:08 GMT8
