help needed from beginner21 Jan 2004 11:45 GMT1
A friend has bought a simple air hog helicopter for my young son to get
started. My question is that I noticed that the propeller on the tail is not
quite in line with the body of the helicopter its about a 1/4 0f an inch out
and fixed by glue so it would not be easy to adjust it. ...

you'll get them tomorrow or Wednesday latest.  Regarding the TJ setup on
Hoverfly II sim20 Jan 2004 22:39 GMT8
I thought the days of the floppy disk were numbered. I haven't had a
floppy disk drive in the last two PC's I've owned and never needed one
in the last 2 and a half years. However, it appears that the people
who make the Hoverfly don't realise we live in 2004 and are supplying
Fuel20 Jan 2004 20:43 GMT6
I am ready to purchase my first heli, and would like to get your
opinions on which brand fuel I should use.
What are your thoughts on Wildcat 30% or Cool Power 30%?
Are there others that you would recomend?
What could cause an in-air boom strike?19 Jan 2004 08:42 GMT7
5 minutes into my first flight today I had an in-air boom strike on my
Raptor 50V2.  It looked and sounded like I mid-air'd with someone, ka-boom,
parts go flying, main blades wrap around, and to the earth it plummets (from
50-75' up).  I'm in the middle of the teardown and let's ...
Futaba radio differance18 Jan 2004 23:07 GMT1
I have been doing some research to figure out which radio I want to
get and found two T9chp radios (with S3001 servos) with different
receivers, but I don't know what the difference is. One comes with a
R149DP RX and the other comes with a R136HP RX. What is the difference

Balancing18 Jan 2004 22:57 GMT10
I'm very new to rc-heli's, and I'm the kind of guy who like to figure out
things for myself. But I'm wondering if anyone could help me on the
procedure of balancing the main rotorblades? I appreciate all help.

Commercial companies who register a subsidiary in Italy usually include
"Italia" in their new title.
It appears that Powergen, the British (French-owned ?) utility company have
Damn!  More bits left over!18 Jan 2004 11:00 GMT6
Just for a laugh this one...
Now completed the Raptor 50 build, what fun. Quite sad it's all over
really - when I have recovered from the crippling financial implications of
throwing a chopper inton the air I might have to buy another!
FF9 question...anybody?18 Jan 2004 10:58 GMT2
The gyro menu confuses me - I think that in "std", i.e. standard mode, I
set the normal and HH modes (so, UP at normal, 30% ish and DOWN at HH 90%
ish.  I switch from norm to HH on switch F.  But then there is a second
setting called "gy" and this is the one I don't uinderstand.  In ...
GY 40118 Jan 2004 08:44 GMT4
Today i was out flying my Raptor, it was cold today, 10C below. While i was
rolling, and i was inverted with lots of negativ the tail suddenly lost its
hold. The gyro was in headlock-mode. I wander if the reason could be that it
was too cold, that the GY401 looses its sensetivity if ...
