receiver+servos31 May 2004 19:26 GMT9
Howdy folks!
I was wondering if the receiver and servos I have are any good, or are they
bare minimum?
The Receiver is a Futaba Dual Conversion FP-R138DF

Newbie question about number of channels31 May 2004 11:52 GMT8
Forgive my wrong terminology.
So, a 8-channel radio covers what exactly?
1) Throttle
2) Heading (tail rotor)

Flying a RC heli with a video camera suspended beneath it...anyone done it?31 May 2004 09:24 GMT4
I'm trying to figure out a (relativelty) inexpensive way of being able to
shoot some basic aerial footage of something, have had a crazy idea about
attaching a small DV camera to the bottom of an RC heli, but before i
investigate it further, could anyone advise me on the following?
One annoying question i HAVE to ask.30 May 2004 23:34 GMT5
Ok guys, i'm having difficulty in working this one out. How on earth does
the clutch engage?? When the shoes are screwed in, they are fixed solid. So
how do they manage to reach the lining to engage or am i missing something?
(Which often happens you know). LOL

theory help29 May 2004 12:10 GMT7
I am leading a study on a convertiplane and I need some theoretical
information regarding the propulsion: given a 2-blades hover of M=590 Kg
(1400lbs) with 2.55 m2 (27.5926 ft2) for both blades, my question is: At
what speed approximately must the rotor turn in order to generate ...
Backlash29 May 2004 09:13 GMT12
Anyone know how it's possible to adjust the backlash when the clutch
assembly and engine are securely fixed to the frame? My MRB's are easily
turned in the normal direction (a sort of manual auto) but it grinds and
sticks a bit in the other direction. If i push the front of the ...
Newbie question about a JR810329 May 2004 07:23 GMT16
I recently got one of these based upon recommendations.  I don't have
the heli yet.  I have two basic questions:
1)  It came with a 9-channel receiver, but the radio is 8 channels.  Is
that just because they don't make 8-channel receivers?
What to do next??( newbie questions)28 May 2004 14:18 GMT6

foot square what do I need to practise next? as I am so ...
stabilizer above or parallel?28 May 2004 09:15 GMT17
I am wondering what the benefits are, "If any" of the stabilizer being above
the rotor head as in the Raptor, or parallel as on the Nexus?
Does this difference in position give any extra performance in stability?
or is it just a way of making models look more technical?
Right turns- Hirobo Eagle GSII and GY50228 May 2004 08:44 GMT3
Having a bit of a problem with the occasional right turn- can anyone help?
When I do figure 8's-- I take off with the heli pointing away from me, turn
90° to the left and climbout.  During the first turn, to the right, the
problem occurs sometimes- as if the tail is hunting- ...
