| Flying a RC heli with a video camera suspended beneath it...anyone done it? | 31 May 2004 09:24 GMT | 4 |
I'm trying to figure out a (relativelty) inexpensive way of being able to shoot some basic aerial footage of something, have had a crazy idea about attaching a small DV camera to the bottom of an RC heli, but before i investigate it further, could anyone advise me on the following?

| theory help | 29 May 2004 12:10 GMT | 7 |
I am leading a study on a convertiplane and I need some theoretical information regarding the propulsion: given a 2-blades hover of M=590 Kg (1400lbs) with 2.55 m2 (27.5926 ft2) for both blades, my question is: At what speed approximately must the rotor turn in order to generate ...

I recently got one of these based upon recommendations. I don't have the heli yet. I have two basic questions: 1) It came with a 9-channel receiver, but the radio is 8 channels. Is that just because they don't make 8-channel receivers?

| stabilizer above or parallel? | 28 May 2004 09:15 GMT | 17 |
I am wondering what the benefits are, "If any" of the stabilizer being above the rotor head as in the Raptor, or parallel as on the Nexus? Does this difference in position give any extra performance in stability? or is it just a way of making models look more technical?
