What purpose(s) do the dampers (little rubber rings around the feathering
spindle) serve?
What would happen if I replaced the dampers with something rigid such
as metal rings of the right size?

The main blades on my shuttle plus go off track quite a bit if the head is
spinning faster than normal ( I dont have a tachometer ). The shuttle has
had about 10 hours of flight. I noticed the thing the flybar and rubber
dampers are fixed into(the center of the blade holder ...

OK, it flies.
The engine starts and idles OK at the beginning, runs up smoothly, and
runs fine while flying at all load levels. After landing, as I throttle
back to idle, it abruptly stops.  It's done this on every flight.  I'm

I burnt out the clutch of an original Hawk... Can I use a clutch assembly
from the newer Hawk sport as a replacement?

While starting I was too near and the rotors cut off my genitals and
tore them to shreds.This was painful and now I´m Mr. Eunuch.
Remote controlled helicopters are dangerous for men, so I recommend to

Is the liner tapered?Have some compression but very weak engine starts but
will not tick over. Took the head of but piston looks ok but when detached
from crank will do full stroke and can be removed from top or bottom

Thanks to the good people on this group and a few visits to the local model
club I am now decided that I am going to buy a Raptor 50 or 60 with
preferably an OS engine but will accept a TT as second best.
I intend to fit a top quality gyro - probably a Futaba 401 and matching
