I am confused.... is the red tracking tape for balancing the blades, or
is it used for making blade tracking adjustment easier (makes blade
stand out)?

Is it easier to hover if one can look at the rotor and try to keep it
horizontal, as in a flight sim where you can always see the spinning rotor
disk?
