When should you bin your glowplugs?16 Nov 2005 16:52 GMT10
I have just had a look at my Enya No.3 plug and it has a relatively large
blob of carbon on the coil. I cleaned this off carefully and ran the plug
for a second to see if it was OK, the coil glows but a few turns at the
"piston end" do not light up.
Micro gyro on a 0.30 sized helicopter?15 Nov 2005 10:42 GMT1
I've got (among other things) an old 0.30 sized glow helicopter that
I've never flown with an old mechanical gyro.
Is there any reason why a new micro piezo gyro wouldn't work just as
well?  I just picked up one cheap
Just bought a Blade CP and I'm totally new to Helos12 Nov 2005 18:30 GMT8
Hi guys, I just bought a Blade CP, charged the battery and now I'm
ready to rock!   Ok, the first thing I notice as I power it up for take
off, the less stable it gets..tweaking with the trims to keep it level
as I'm taking off, the higher in RPM I go, the more random the trim

Blade RTF RC Copter ??10 Nov 2005 21:09 GMT4
Anyone have a review of the Blade (e-flite?) RC helicopter?  Looks like it
comes with everything (except AA x-mitter bats) for around $220.  Anyone
have one that can comment?
Thanks,
Beware of dodgy Ebayer.09 Nov 2005 20:37 GMT2
Beware of Ricky Burns aka albino53 trading on Ebay. I received a heli, one
of the servos of which was not functioning correctly. He said he'd send a
new one ....twice. The fact that none were received says, reasonably, that
he never sent them. The data cable, as described, was ...
My Blade does not hate me09 Nov 2005 16:56 GMT10
I have been attempting to fly a Blade for a couple of weeks and have now
managed to get to the point I can almost fly an oval pattern. I have not
done the nose in hovering thing as I am better at forward flight. I think
flying planes has helped me there. My questions are - At ...
Son of a........09 Nov 2005 06:10 GMT1
Had to haul the girls to piano lessons tonight so I dragged the Blade
along so I could terrorize the cul-de-sac while they plinked away on
the ivories..
Had a little vibration develop after a couple mins  and thought I may
Help on Freya 60-70 setup08 Nov 2005 08:44 GMT2
I'm experiencing a strange (to me) problem. Here is my story :
Recently, I bought a Freya 60-70 and I built it following exactly the
instructions of the manual. Strangely enough,  the final available pith
range is only about 12 degrees (-3 to +9) what ever setup I follow in
need help x-ufo repair.06 Nov 2005 22:31 GMT1
It was inevitable but I crashed too hard and broke one of the foam
circles encompassing a rotor.  What is the best repair method?  The
logical method is glue but what kind would work best?
Thanks.

Raptor 30 engines, gyro, etc.03 Nov 2005 18:12 GMT5
I am a newbie to this group, and a newbie to RC helicopters. I have
extensive experience building and flying fixed wing models, but have never
flown a helicopter.
I found a Raptor 30 V2 at a garage sale, complete kit without the motor. I
First nose-in landing!03 Nov 2005 02:50 GMT2
Well, on the simulator. And a second, just to prove it wasn't a fluke.
Once I've got another 50 of them under my belt and have started
to feel more of a sense of relative control and a steady nose-in
hover, I'll be ready to tackle the real thing!
