Clubs close to hom30 Apr 2007 20:17 GMT1
Went to the OCHC club in Brea, CA yesterday, had a great time.
Was wondering if there was a similar club closer to the Huntington Beach
area.

FF9 and 401 gyro setup.25 Apr 2007 18:56 GMT2
I have just fitted a Futaba 401 gyro with S9254 servo to my shuttle.
Having taken it to the field to have it set up, as I am quite helis, the
gyro sensitivity was set up on my FF9 using the endpoint adjustments rather
than the gyro sensitivity. When I asked, why I was told that ...

larger versions of blade cx?16 Apr 2007 22:28 GMT10
Just wondering why there are larger versions of a blade-cx-type heli out
there. Seems that the ease of use would merit a larger version (with the
same blade configuration). Are there technical reasons why a larger
version would be troublesome?

TX recommendations please12 Apr 2007 20:03 GMT12
I'm going to have a second attempt at learning helis. Girlfriend doesn't
seem totally depressed by the thought of me doodling with toy helictopers!
This time though I'm going to keep it clean and tidy with an electric (have
my eyes on a T-Rex).
Kits and Gyros11 Apr 2007 22:21 GMT22
I have a little experience with some small RTF electric helicopters.
I was kind of thinking about getting a Century Hawk, but I'm not at
all familiar with fuel powered helis or building one from a kit.  How
hard is it for someone starting out to build a helicopter from a kit,
Stability issues with Airhogs Havoc11 Apr 2007 13:59 GMT2
I've just gone through 2 Havoc's, on my third now in 2 weeks.  The first 2
were purchased at a super wally-mart here in Phoenix, AZ.  The first 2 were
so unstable out of the box that it was next to impossible to fly them with
any real control.  The 3rd one, which I got tonight works ...

Bell 47G06 Apr 2007 19:54 GMT1
New to this group, and have a question. Does anyone know of an
electric Kit/ARF/whatever, of the Bell 47G helicopter?
Thanks,
Bill

what chopper next?03 Apr 2007 22:09 GMT4
My nephew, 20, has mastered the Twister Bell, he says (i havent seen him
fly) and he's after the next machine up.  He wants electric (hence my
question, or I'd suggest a Raptor) and his aim, ultimately, is 3D.  Any
suggestions?
