| Trex 450XL Pitch curve help | 30 Apr 2008 06:39 GMT | 12 |
I have joined the wonderful world of RC. After much deliberation I chose to go the heli route as I have a big garden and a park cross the road where I can practice.

Can anyone please explain to me the effect of increasing or decreasing the gain & the proportion, on the 4 in i1 controller please? The instruction manual whilst referring to them both doesn't actually convey any meaning to me at all :-)

| Digital flybar system, cheaper.. | 21 Apr 2008 18:23 GMT | 4 |
This thing was announced on helifreak a little while ago. Every day people have been hounding the guy for a release date and price, and it's (I think) available now. $329. It's a two-axis digital flybar system, like the V-Bar but it doesn't incorporate the tail.

| Bigger heli recommendations | 20 Apr 2008 21:44 GMT | 7 |
I've still done nothing more than hover the T-Rex 450SE V2 in the tiny back yard, but at least I'm building up my sim time. I just switched over to the Synergy N9 on the Phoenix sim, and it's so much better to fly than the little T-Rex, so I'm considering the idea of

| +/- 9.5 degrees.. enough? | 07 Apr 2008 21:44 GMT | 41 |
The T-Rex is all put together now, just waiting on the Futaba S9257 from Skyline which will hopefully be here today. If I'm reading the pitch gauge right, then I've got pretty much 9.5 degrees pitch each way. (collective.. I haven't done any measuring of

| Weird problem flying sideways on sim. Heli flicks itself around 45-degrees towards heading. | 02 Apr 2008 23:36 GMT | 6 |
(on Phoenix, with both the Trex 450 3D and a Raptor 50 3D..) This is bugging the hell out of me. I was practicing funnels yesterday and doing OKish.. (OK, I was well chuffed..) I sort of started doing them by accident whilst practicing sharp (heli on side) turns.
