I picked up an older Novak Tempest T-4 ESC. The manual for it says it can be used with any turn motor. Being that it is older it isn't a one touch setup. Newer ESC's are of course one touch.

Is it worth getting a ESC vs Mechanical? I hear the ESC don't fare well with water (burn-up)? Has wet grass ever burned-up ESC? I understand puddles of water are a problem.

I've recently acquired some older on road cars. Bolink, RC10 DS, and a RC10L. All three are 2WD rear drive cars. I spent the weekend getting them all up and running with ESC's, receivers, various motors, spurs and pinions.
