having fun with it.
R/C railroad locomotive?08 Jan 2004 00:13 GMT1
I am looking at control options for my 1/8 scale locomotive. I am
interested in the possibility of controlling it by R/C. It isn't your
typical locomotive, though, in that it is ten feet long and weighs
nine hundred pounds <g>. In other words, it is a "ride on" locomotive.

RC10T2 with a KTM motocross fender body pics on binary groups06 Jan 2004 05:31 GMT4
This is what happens when someone (me) gets tired of replacing stadium truck
bodies... totally indestructable!
It had a green 1/8th scale buggy wing on it which earned it the nickname
"Nuclear Carrot"... but it broke at the track.

quiet nitro?05 Jan 2004 17:04 GMT5
Any recommendations on a quiet nitro r/c car? I've been doing electric
for a while now and the only thing stopping me from going nitro is the
noise factor. last weekend I had a blast with my friends nitro truck
and we were running all day but it was LOUD. there's no way I'd get
Li-ion question05 Jan 2004 10:52 GMT24
I have a few Li-ion batteries.
For long term storage should they be fully charged
or near-full discharge like NiCads?
[REQ] how is tamiya super-s motor?04 Jan 2004 18:13 GMT1
i just picked up baja king from local shop and had great fun building it.
some times I think building part is more fun than driving the car
itself....anyway.  I thought the stock motor it cames with (540 series)
wasn't so hot on my new toy, so i figure what if I buy new motor to go ...

Artin monster truck03 Jan 2004 05:02 GMT1
My sons got the Artin Ranger monster truck for Christmas, one for each.
Big problem is that both trucks have same frequency setup for
controlling them. Went searching, found no Artin website, but did find
out that the trucks operate and are available only on the 27 mhz band.
Nitro TC3 body03 Jan 2004 01:54 GMT4
Just for info....if anyone is curious, the 200 mm 2000 Grand Prix body from
Protoform will fit on the TC3. The hobby shop tried to tell me that it
wouldn't. I do have pics if anyone would like to see. I used the wing from the
body that came with the car, and it looks sweet
LRP Runner ESC Beep02 Jan 2004 12:29 GMT2
I purchased an LRP runner ESC a long time ago. I did a straight swap for the
resistor and mechanical SC that were in there originally. One thing I
noticed about the ESC was the 'meeeeeeeeeee' noise associated with the motor
movement. Even when the motor is stalled it vibrates with ...
