Futaba High Torque Servos31 Jul 2004 20:03 GMT3
I'm just starting out and ready to buy an RC10T4. A high torque servo
is recommended for steering, and since I'm leaning toward a Futaba
radio I was going to buy an S3305 or S3010 servo. On Tower's site it
states "per Futaba this servo is approved for use with NiCd batteries

I've never owned a gas powered remote controlled vehicle before, and am
Dogbone bent!30 Jul 2004 02:40 GMT2
My project truck has just hit its first stumbling block.  The rear dogbone I
was planning to reuse in the transmission has just been extracted from the
rear suspension and is bent.  The other one is broken (prompting me starting
the project earlier than planned).  The bend is very ...

Is it a good idea?29 Jul 2004 14:45 GMT3
Should you remove batteries from the transmitter when not in use and
disconnect the battery pack in the vehicles receiver?   Is there a
possibility of discharging the batteries while they stay connected in their
separate units?
Air filter foam29 Jul 2004 06:38 GMT7
I just did some cleaning on my truck for the first time and removed and
cleaned the air filter element foams.  I used nitro fuel as suggested in the
owners manual and did they ever grow in size!  They almost doubled!  They
did clean up very nice though, will they go back to their ...

Please give me tips or ideas on better cars! Thanks,

My first good Revo wreck28 Jul 2004 14:54 GMT9
About a half-gallon in, I came off a jump at a funny angle and
overshot the intended landing area.
So the poor beast is flying through the air, upside down and heading
for a curb.  SMACK.  No bounce, roll, or anything.  Just a sickening,

rec.models.rc.land (RMRL) FAQ Repost27 Jul 2004 05:48 GMT1
This is the most recent I found on google groups, so here goes:  I did make a
single change, regarding my archive at ripperd.com of the binaries group.  I no
longer use ripperd2.dhs.org, and it contains a placeholder forwarder so the FAQ
needs to get updated in this respect. I ...
PC Software26 Jul 2004 19:02 GMT2
I think the user interface on my Futaba P3J stinks, and I imagine it's
typical. Why don't the radio manufacturers just include a USB port on
their radios to allow third party software to provide a more friendly
programming experience for those of us who have relatively normal
