Model Tanks for Beginners30 Nov 2003 22:48 GMT6
I think it was Monogram that had a series of 1/48 scale "pro-finish"
aircraft that where prepainted and aimed toward beginners. These models were
a little more costly for the quality, but still reasonably priced...and very
accessible to a first time modeler.
Ebay warning: teamjoedawn excessive 'handling' charges30 Nov 2003 22:03 GMT80
Stay away from seller named "teamjoedawn" from Springfield Va (ebay lists them
as Montgomery-Springfield VA)
But with only 18 feedback and a dropping feedback rate, by the time this hits
they'll have a new name and be doing it again.

G.I. Combat tank30 Nov 2003 15:26 GMT6
Does anyone out there remember the comic book GI Combat? I used to have
a bunch of the comics, but have long gone missing, always liked the
tank, all I remember is that it was kind of a modified Stuart.
I remember an article in Scale Modeler (I Think) back in the 70's that

I recently purchased a new 'metric' bench mill/drilling machine. After using
it (and things not coming out correct)  I discovered that it had been fitted

manufacturer they said all their machines had imperial ...

getting a sealed ICM kit missing a sprue.
I called them about it on Tues and it arrived today wrapped in bubblewrap and
well padded in a large box.
Possible new Decal Printer30 Nov 2003 08:22 GMT10
The only reliable decal printer was the ALPS which used a dye
sublimation method of printing.  Ink jets use aqueous inks that bead
up on decal paper blanks and in any case are not UV light fast.
Anyway saw this blurp on the Olympus P-10 printer
