Grinder30 Apr 2004 23:54 GMT1
Need to buy a Jones & Shipman surface grinder for work this weekend.  There
are some on E-bay, but if anyone knows of anything drop me an e-mail.  Would
prefer powered up/down feed, but not essential.

Different SM Prices in Asia30 Apr 2004 23:05 GMT4
Can anyone explain this anomaly to me?
It appears that scale models in my country costs 1/3 cheaper than most of
the stores I've seen in the western hemisphere. :/
I guess I was wrong about our stuff here being more expensive. ;)

Gloss Paint and Sanding30 Apr 2004 14:53 GMT10
I'm not familiar with spray painting yet.
This is my concern:
I'm going to use the spraypaint recommended by the instruction manual of my
Tamiya car model.

Axminster ZX15M Mill/Drill30 Apr 2004 09:27 GMT10
Does anyone have any experience/comments on this milling machine and
its suitability for model engineering use?  My main concern is the
rather high bottom speed.  It looks identical to the Chester Champion
but from a supplier with a better reputation for service.

Suggestions on Armor kit for Raffle30 Apr 2004 05:58 GMT3
We've a got a contest coming up, and were hoping to have a few premier
kits for the tail-end. So far we've lined up a couple of nice aircraft,
and we want the third kit to be armor. Considering our budget, what's
cool and new to the market in the $80-$100 range retail? I think it ...
D bit reamers30 Apr 2004 02:27 GMT5
Has anyone made D bit reamers as explained in this article
http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~chrish/t-drill.htm
and if so how well did they work and to what tolerance?
It might be one solution to my need to ream various sizes of valve guides
Way O.T.30 Apr 2004 02:02 GMT3
Was at my favorite watering hole last night. A old
WW2 Popeye cartoon came on. Popeye beats up
Bluto, sinks the Japanese Navy and then takes Olive
upstairs to a cheap hotel. Well enough, but the
bench cnc lathes?30 Apr 2004 01:38 GMT6
Any ideas guys? I need to get hold of one of the Compact 5 or similar
jobbies or an ex colledge traiuning lathe for some small but intensly
boring batches that don't justify setting the MS SL25 up.
Dam what a day...I need another 12 hours in my days lately..

Just saw on Hannants website that Zvezda finally released the 1/72 MiG
1.44 (aka MFI). Has anyone seen it? Is it good?
Thanks in advance.

Do car Modelers have it the best?29 Apr 2004 20:37 GMT40
I have been meaning to post this question for awhile. Every club meeting
night we have a raffle and the running gag is the guys who have yet to have
their numbers picked tell the winners, to "Take the Car". This leaves all
the armor and aircraft goodies on the table. I am not so ...
