Sent an email to Testors telling them I got an AMT S3 without the
clear parts, and would it be possible to get them from them. Received
a reply within an hour telling me I will receive the replacement parts

Was STP Turbine Indy Car Ever Reissued?19 Apr 2004 13:37 GMT2
I remember a popular car kit as a kid (1968 - 1969) of the STP turbine indy car
issued by MPC(?). The kit came with a display based that included a pen holder.
Has this kit ever been reissued? If not, how much does it go for on the
collector's market?
For your delectation....19 Apr 2004 12:48 GMT19
Not long ago in this fair, noble land
stood Airy of Bean with a saw in his hand.
Trying quite vainly to cut yonder steel
that for e'en a child t'would've been no big deal.

WTD: Academy 1/72nd PBY-5A Catalina18 Apr 2004 14:51 GMT2
I am looking for an Academy 1./72nd PBY-5A Catalina.  I believe it was only
boxed one time in "Black Cat" markngs in black plastic, though I am hoping it

Knock-on wheels question18 Apr 2004 14:33 GMT4
Does anyone here know if a knock-on wheel nut rotates with the wheel?
In other words, should it be glued to the wheel or to the axle?
Thanks, Dave
War posters in 1/72?18 Apr 2004 11:06 GMT5
I've found building armor in 1/72 very rewarding, and since no one else
in my club chapter seems interested in this scale, my pursuit is unique.
I see a decent amount of kits available, from many makers, and am just
now finding quite a few accessories too.
Heating brass collars18 Apr 2004 09:16 GMT2
I am in the throngs of fashioning a mast, and I would prefer to use a brass
collar.
If I apply a heat source, will that be sufficient to expand the diameter
such that I can move it into place, allow it to cool to more or less form a
Sort-of OT:  Aircraft roundel origin question18 Apr 2004 06:46 GMT5
I just picked up a pair of pilot's wings that I'm sure are from a Central or
South American Air Force but am not sure which one.  The wings are gold and
have a disc in the centre with the roundel on them.  I know I've seen this same
roundel on aircraft, and on a decal sheet once but ...

707 Diaroma18 Apr 2004 06:04 GMT15
I'm sure you are all familiar with the photo of the 707 Dash 80 Prototype
doing the slow roll over the Seattle boat races. I have never seen a picture
from the ground of this roll . The only picture I have seen is the one from
the inside of the aircraft. Surely there would have been ...
