Chippendale TV programme - blacksmith sequence14 Apr 2004 00:01 GMT11
Watched the BBC programme about Thomas Chippendale last night.
Brilliant designer, lousy accountant.
But what a marvelous selection of tools they showed.
Interesting to see how they made chisels in those days.
On-line suppliers of DC motors, drive pullies and belts13 Apr 2004 22:30 GMT2
I'm developing a powered skateboard and would appreciate if anybody
had any links to online suppliers of DC motors, drive pullies and
belts?  The motor size is relatively small - circa 1hp / 0.75kW - but

I'm currently about to build a Roden 1:72 Albatross D.III and have come
across 2 colours I require that don't appear to be in current Humbrol

I have not had the best of luck with on-line cross-reference charts, and was
(AIR) deHavilland Mosquito Camouflage13 Apr 2004 22:15 GMT1
Question:  Does anyone out there have any info on the camouflage scheme
applied to the armed Mosquito PR.II aircraft? They were among the first
of the PR versions and I believe 4 were in use by July of 1942. All the
info I have on PR Mosquitos refers to PR.I, IV, IX, XVI and PR.34

I'm building the 1/48 Glencoe Austro-Hungarian Albatross DIII (yea, ok, I'm a
glutton for punishment), and would like some interior info.  Any pics from
Rinebeck, or diagrams showing appointments, ribbing, etc would be great.   TIA

Color Questions13 Apr 2004 19:02 GMT1
All, I'm breaking away from my Klingon cruiser re-build to work on Tam's
German machine gunner w/greatcoat in 1/16 scale.  Figures scare me, so the
best way to deal with that is to jump right in.  So far it's a very fun kit!
I've started painting but I'm not sure what colors to use ...

(OT...  Sorta...) Vision Issues for Modelers13 Apr 2004 12:09 GMT24
I recently went to the eye doctor and explained I could see distances
fine (w/ my glasses/contacts) but when doing close work, (modeling) it
helps to remove my glasses as my eyes don't adjust too quickly to short
distances.  He's pushing me towards bifocals though I don't need ...
Pyro kits question13 Apr 2004 08:02 GMT6
Does anyone here have any information about Pyro kits?
I've never heard of them, and wondered if they might be an old U.S.
manufacturer.  I'm especially interested in an Alfa Romeo GT kit
in 1/32 scale.
