T-6 Texan etched metal03 Apr 2004 22:20 GMT1
I seem to remember there was once an etched metal (Eduard?) for the Monogram
(or Occidental - virtually the same cockpit) 1/48 kit.  I'm building an
Occidental kit for a former Korean War FAC pilot and am looking for a set of
this etched metal; I could not find it currently offered ...

Channel footage I've seen shows it with what ...

Factory NMF--shiny or dull?03 Apr 2004 03:42 GMT9
Three part question--1. Was factory natural metal finish shiny, dull, somewhere
in between?  I know on restored aircraft it's polished to a nice gloss which
looks great in pictures, but....  What did the factory do?  Raw bare aluminum
is a corrosion nightmare, so is it safe to ...
