Squadron shows two kits- #5960 with the dennis the menace markings, and # 5844 for Sweet Sue. Am I correct in assuming 5844 is the later version with the drag chute housing? I think Sweet sue is the one I saw at Wal-mart for cheap.

Thats a puzzler for sure! The rear end is wrong for the KV series as they had prominant transmission covers. Also a KVII had vertical turret sides and the KVI had a pronounced overhang to the turret bustle, although the side were tapered upwards.

Have bought a secondhand loco boiler. Have been advised that the fittings should be bronze or gun metal and not brass. There are two items that I am unable to verify as to material. How do you identify when they have been machined?
