Richmond 5" Universal Dividing Head25 Jun 2004 21:58 GMT1
I've just acquired one of these -  whilst it hasn't been abused it is
grubby and has been somewhat unloved  - as dividing heads sometimes are.
Does anyone have a manual/parts breakdown since some stripping is going
to be needed and this may help.
Why cut from sprue this way?25 Jun 2004 09:12 GMT36
Check out the link below:

I want to know why the 2nd method is the right way to cut from the sprue
with a side cutter? I haven't bought a side cutter yet coz I've been doing
Stuka25 Jun 2004 06:02 GMT1
I might have asked this before, but what was
the maximum speed a Stuka, Ju-87, could
obtain just before bomb release? I know its
gull wings could handle a train load of stress.
Fort Worth TX contest25 Jun 2004 05:16 GMT1
I'm wondering if any of you will be attending the model contest on
September 11th in Arlington TX?
I've only been competing for a short time, but hope to make it to this
one, as I've got a few I'd like to enter.

When is it no longer the kit you bought?24 Jun 2004 22:32 GMT28
Hey all, this is a question I've been asking myself for a while now
since I finished my last project.  I bought a reveel thunderbirds F-4
set off of Ebay and proceeded to build it.  The decals weren't the
way they should have been so I bought specific Thunderbirds F-4
will they ever make these kits?24 Jun 2004 22:08 GMT18
First time poster. I've really enjoyed searching old posts about kits
I remember seeing over the years growing up, in various hobby shops.
When I was a kid, my grandparents used to like to buy me a kit to
complete when visiting. I think I had a couple of copies of the

an RAF Mitchell in 1/48th. Can anyone recommend a model and some
decals as I can't find anything (probably because I am not sure what I
shlu8ld be looking for - grin).
Motor Help24 Jun 2004 19:08 GMT4
A friend has given me a mains electric motor from a washing machine.
Its the type with a commutator, brushes and a wound stator. It has a
connector block with 6 contacts on it - can anyone suggest how this
should be wired up to connect it to the mains?
SIMPLEX building instructions24 Jun 2004 17:42 GMT12
Can anyone here help me?
I have just completed my first model engineering project, Tubal Cain's
beam engine 'Mary'  and I am planning my next project.  I want to
build a 5 in gauge loco and it looks as if the Simplex is a good
Ilyushin Il-10224 Jun 2004 17:36 GMT5
A few years back, I scratchbuilt an Il-102 in 1:72 scale.
Someone emailed me about it recently, so I dug it out and photographed

Japanese rising sun insignia24 Jun 2004 13:23 GMT3
I'm new to modelling and I'm about to attempt my third aircraft kit. It's a
Japanese Zero (Tamiya 1/48) and I'm attempting to do it in a very worn
state. I painted the aircraft aluminium and sealed that with car lacquer
(from Halfords in the UK) so I could abuse it well without ...
Mojave SPACEPORT Report!!!24 Jun 2004 02:28 GMT7
Just got back from Mojave (about 150 mi away, roughly) and the first
suborbital flight of Spaceshipone. Somebody needs to do a 1/32 scale resin
of that baby- it's fairly small. Got to see my first Alpha Jet, too. They
are using an ex-Luftwaffe one as a camera ship for Discovery ...
