Question Regarding MRC 1/72 Aircraft Molds22 Jun 2004 13:04 GMT3
Gents, was hoping someone might have an answer to a question - I've
picked up a couple of 1/72 aircraft in MRC boxes - square boxes not
unlike the old Revell Collector's Choice series in size, but these are
simpler, white background boxes with color illustrations of the
BMF masking question22 Jun 2004 10:57 GMT5
Greetings, all!
I've decided to give Bare Metal Foil a try instead of my usual masking
medium on the canopy of my current project. I already see that the BMF
leaves residue behind when it is removed. I will be using Tamiya Acrylics to
Jules Verne's Nautilus 22 Jun 2004 05:29 GMT10
I have an old unfinished Comet Miniatures model of Jules Verne's Nautilus
that is 12 inches long (scale is about 1/232). It looks simular to the Walt
Disney's version of the submarine.
I was wondering how to make the interior of the Salon and Wheelhouse ( just
Revell Constitution?22 Jun 2004 04:37 GMT15
I'd like to get this classic to give as a gift. IIRC there were two
versions, one larger and more detailed, even including a detailed
captain's quarters. I checked at Squadron and saw there were two
offered. One from Revell/Monogram USA and one from Revell Germany. The
Tamiya 109/Zero rather unimpressive22 Jun 2004 04:29 GMT5
I was digging through the stash in storage and came across the Tamiya 1/48 Zero
and 109E-4/7.  Hadn't opened the boxes yet, so I thought I'd take a look.  I
wasn't terribly inpressed with either in regard to amount of parts or detail.
Were these a couple of their lesser kits, or am ...

Motorizing small model boats.21 Jun 2004 18:03 GMT1
I always wanted to do it but balked somewhat at the size of the
motors, batteries, RC equipment, etc. to fit into the 1/72 Revell PT
boat, the Tamiya Vosper MTB or the 1/350 ships.
Anyway this is the final idea.
cutting along window frame21 Jun 2004 13:47 GMT4
I've noted that in the Tamiya video tutorial on painting window frames you
have to cut along the window frame with a design knife before painting. May
I know why this must be done?
Thanks in advance.
Sheet Metal Folders21 Jun 2004 07:40 GMT7
I need to bend some sheet metal - not big bits so I was contemplating,
forgive me here, the small one sold by Machine Mart.
Being wary of most stuff from Machine Mart can anyone tell me if it's
OK.

Skeleton Clocks20 Jun 2004 23:22 GMT21
Er indoors has decided that I will build her a skeleton clock. (She came up
to Harrogate and saw one up there... that'll teach me...). I am looking for
any information. I don't want to buy a kit as that is not the same as
manafuacturing one. I want to add a little bit of uniqueness ...
Question about M24 Chaffee tank20 Jun 2004 21:11 GMT1
Hi again.
I'm building the Hasegawa M24 Chaffee in 1/72, and while it will stand
alone when finished, I want to create a small scene for it to rest on.
Since I've learned this tank came into use at the very end of the war, I
