Dealing w/Canopy Mold Lines & Scratches01 Aug 2004 00:54 GMT44
I posted a new article on www.cybermodeler.com dealing with those
frustrating Hasegawa (and others) mold lines on the canopy as well as
scratching due to poor packaging. We look at Micro-Mesh and remove some
scratches and a mold line on the Hasegawa 1/32 F-16 canopy. Check it out!
Question re 1/72 Hasegawa F-11131 Jul 2004 23:53 GMT4
With the exception of the EF-111, was the last issue of Hasegawa's 1/72 F-111
released with the markings for a tactical gray paint scheme, instead of the SEA
paint scheme?

I don't know if you remember but I originally posted a question about a 20mm
ball nosed slot drill and its suitability for cutting a 10mm semi-circular
radius in some aluminium.  Its been a while! but I did promise an update. As

Question About Tamiya Paint31 Jul 2004 13:57 GMT8
For the first time I am going to try the technique of applying gloss varnish
before decals and then matt varnish over the top.
I looked at the Tamiya paints in my local model shop (read toy shop) and
what I assume is matt varnish is called Flat Base.  But it looks almost
Internal slotting on a shaper31 Jul 2004 12:06 GMT3
I'm about to slot the inside of some gears on the shaper.
Some books (notably Ian Bradley) suggest that the clapper box should be
clamped shut and the cut made on the return stroke. Others suggest
producing the cut on the outbound stroke.
[AIR] DML 1/200 B-2 & F-117A31 Jul 2004 07:28 GMT1
Is there any way to tell the revised kit with the corrected F-117
from the original issue without opening it to check?  I'm specifically
interested in knowing if kit #2007-1200 is the revised issue.

Just found out the house we are moving into has bugs and other nasties
that have to be fixed before we can move in, so more of my kids are
being sold off. Please see below.  Most likely more to follow as more
bills show up....
Creating little people....31 Jul 2004 05:34 GMT5
Well, I got my sets of Italeri 1/72 British Red Devils and US 2nd
Infantry figures in the mail yesterday.
They are both molded in light tan (thanks to all who wrote to tell me
this ahead of time), and have detail I consider very good.

Is there some brand of paint that has the right color for the metallic
blue/green seen in the avionics bay of the F-15 or do I have to mix
colors to get the right shade?
Thanks in advance
