Design and build of Hovercraft - any experts?08 Jul 2004 19:38 GMT10
My son is considering the design/build of a hovercraft as an A level
project, has anyone had a go? Any suggestions? Is it feasible as a school
project?
I've found alt.rec.hovercraft but pointers to other sources of info would be

I have seen the kit in the Squadron flyers. I understand it is basically
the demonstrator model. Any comments on accuracy, quality, etc. from
anyone who has seen the kit??

For the 2-D artists among you ... or if you just like Navy jets!08 Jul 2004 18:30 GMT1
The American Society of Aviation Artists will be having our 2005 Forum

At the recent Forum in Dayton, we got a slide preview of the station
and our venue, and have been assured that the Navy will roll out the
Modeling Madness?08 Jul 2004 17:49 GMT1
M2 hasn't had an update since July 5th.
Anyone know what is going on?  I hope that
everything is OK with Scott?  Maybe he's just
having server problems again?  Or did I miss
Stash Augmentation08 Jul 2004 12:14 GMT15
I suffered from a bad bout of stash augmentation yesterday.  It was the
local vintage machinery rally, and I did my usual sweep of the various
stalls.  I picked up a Tamiya 1:24 1966 VW 1300 Beetle for six quid, and
Revellogram 1:25 Custom '56 Ford Pickup for a similar sum.

I'm part way into building the new workshop. I have a garage that is
so full that I have to take things out to get into it. As well as the
tools in the garage I have two lathes, Two full sized drill presses,
two Jones and Shipman sensitive drills, a BCA jig borer and a Jones

I'm a newby, having 'lurked' for the past month to get a feel of the
group but now I do need some advice.
I've bought a Myford ML7 which seems in very good condition and am
slowly building a workshop. One item purchased on eBay has just arrived

and D.VII ?
Thanks

White Ensign has posted negatives of the frets for the etched parts in
thier set for the Revell 1/72 Type VIIC.  Check them out, and judge for
yourself.

Somebody does read/listen to rms-ers! 08 Jul 2004 01:28 GMT15
A short while back there was the A/C wish list thread going and my 1st
choice was repopping the Matchbox F3D after so many years. Well, I got the
Email from GM and there it was! Checked their site and it is in the original
art as well.
1/48 hornet08 Jul 2004 01:01 GMT22
Easy question, probably a not-so-easy answer: which is the best Hornet
in 1/48 scale?
Eurofighter Typhoon detail pix: under the canopy07 Jul 2004 22:39 GMT3
Anybody have any pictures or links for details of the area behind the seat
under the canopy on the single-seater Typhoon? With all this nice Eduard
etch and an Airwaves resin seat, I kind of think that the bit under the
canopy needs some more detail. I can do some gizmology, but it ...
Updating the Heller Jaktviggen07 Jul 2004 20:29 GMT3
I just felt the urge the other day to build some European fighters, so I
went out and got myself a Gripen, a Typhoon and a Viggen, all in 1/72. I
know the Gripen kit - there's a couple of good articles online about
what to do with it - and I'm leaving the Typhoon more or less ...
Aztek airbrush as a second unit07 Jul 2004 17:23 GMT9
I am looking for comments people have on using the Aztek line of
airbrushes. I currently have a Paasche VL and am working off of a 20gal
compressor/tank. The noise that the compressor makes is fine in my
workshop area, but I have a building area in my retail store, so I am
