I know many F-15A got some F-15C features in the mid 80s (such as the
new wheels), but did they retain the Escapac Ejection Seat or switched
to the Aces II??
Thanks in advance
Wanted: Splashback for Myford Super 706 Jul 2004 13:50 GMT4
-bit of a long shot I know, but does anyone out there have an unwanted
splashback to suit a Myford Super 7 industrial stand? The stand is the
old type, with the rolled edge drip tray and the rounded corners.
According to photos I've seen, the factory splashback also has rolled
Painting Top and Bottom of Model06 Jul 2004 13:34 GMT8
Hi group,
When priming/painting a model (a fuselage in this case), would it be okay to
first paint the top, let it dry, then the bottom, or would making some sort
of stand so that I can paint both sides together be a better/safer course of

I've been eying off the 1:48 camels on the shelf of the model shop lately.
There's Eduard, Roden and a Revell. The Revell is priced less than half the
others. Is it any good? What I look for is ease of build (good fit with no
filling or modifying needed) good design (parts not too ...
Sewing Table Workbench?06 Jul 2004 13:15 GMT1
I have a small spare sewing table that I may convert into a workbench
for modelling.  Can you come up with a wish list as to what features
you would like to stuff into it?  Say something you would like to win
at the club draw.  This is more of a fun project than anything I

field windings.

Hi, does anyone know the actual colour used by the Yellowjacks in the
60's? If so, which company does the closest match?
Cheers,

New to group: Boxford lathe05 Jul 2004 19:13 GMT4
I have just picked up my new lathe.  It is a Boxford lathe but I have no
idea as to what model it is, or even what it will do for me.  But it works,
it was cheap and I fancied it!
It is currently 3-phase.

Now that the Iraqis have their country back (more or less...), what does
everyone think about the future of it's Armed Forces -- especially their
Air Force? What kind of equipment/aircraft will they be getting in the
next 2-10 years...and beyond? Since they have a new flag, what ...
Sintered Iron or Phospher Bronze?05 Jul 2004 10:35 GMT9
I need to rebush a distributor shaft on a 40 year old Lucas distributor.
The original bush was sintered iron, pressed in then honed in-situ. As I'm
having difficulty sourcing sintered iron what are your thoughts on using
sintered phospher bronze? As it runs at half engine speed ...
